Akshar Patel

Akshar is a member of the Client Services Team at Saranac Partners. He works alongside Salah Alrawi and Katherine Rees-Oliviere to help support clients in their investment and financial affairs. Prior to joining the team, Akshar has spent over a decade working for large International Banks, Multi Family Offices and Private Markets advisory businesses managing individuals and corporate clients. Akshar received a BA Dual Honours in Economics and Management Science from Keele University.

Alberto Gomez

Alberto is the Head of Operations at Saranac Partners Europe. He is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the European office, the relationship with external vendors and the regulatory compliance requirements of the firm. Prior to joining Saranac Partners Europe in February 2022, Alberto worked for over 10 years in Private Banking for the French group Crédit Agricole (CA Indosuez Wealth Management), leading the operations teams in Spain as well as steering a number of key strategic European projects. Alberto is trilingual in French, Spanish and English. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a master's degree in banking with a specialisation in derivatives from EF Business School.

Allan Clayton

Allan joined Saranac Partners in December 2017 as part of the Operations team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, and implementing processes to ensure helpful supporting of the front office and clients Allan has over 18 years experience in private banking, having previous worked for UBS, Ruffer LLP, AXA, Rothschilds, Cazenove and Schroders. Allan holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics & Management from King's College London.

Benedicte Perrier-Dordain

Benedicte is a Client Advisor at Saranac Partners. She advises a diverse client base on all their financial affairs, from wealth planning to investments across all asset classes. Having built relationships over more than 15 years and covering multiple generations, Benedicte provides expertise on long-term planning and evolving investment horizons. Benedicte joined Saranac in 2019, having worked in wealth management at UBS and ACPI, as well as capital markets at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. She is a graduate of HEC Paris and holds a Masters Degree in economics from Sciences Po Paris. Benedicte is a French national and a fluent Russian speaker.

Brent Seery

Brent is an Investment Advisor at Saranac Partners, a member of the Investment Committee and responsible for the firm's Proposition. He specialises in multi-asset class investment advisory and tactical opportunities, while providing outsourced CIO solutions to family office clients. Brent joined Saranac in 2016 from Barclays where he led the UHNW investment proposition and formerly worked at Morgan Stanley as an Investment Advisor. He studied at the University of Sydney and completed his studies at the University of Vienna.

Charlotte Beechey

Charlotte Beechey joined Saranac in June 2022. She began working in our London office assisting the Client Service team and currently works in Saranac Partners Europe as an Analyst supporting the Client Advisors and backoffice. Charlotte is currently studying Commerce at Complutense University in Madrid and has completed summer courses at ESIC Business School.

Christophe Savinas

Christophe leads the fixed income proposition at Saranac Partners across discretionary and advisory portfolios. He is a member of the Investment Committee and also specialises in derivatives and structured products Prior to joining Saranac in 2018, Christophe spent 7 years as the Investment Strategist at a London based single Family Office, advising on a multi-billion dollar balance sheet. Christophe started his career as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Société Générale in Luxembourg. Christophe is a French citizen and holds an Master of Science in Risk & Asset Management from EDHEC Business School.

Connor Tucker

Connor is an Analyst within the Operations team at Saranac. Prior to joining Saranac in December 2021, Connor worked at Fusion Wealth, where he was a Trading & Settlements Specialist for two years. Connor graduated from the University of Sussex in 2019 with a master's degree in Financial Mathematics, he also holds a first-class honours bachelor's degree in Mathematics.

Daniel Walker

Daniel is part of the Proposition team at Saranac Partners. He specialises in data, analytics and execution. He performs investment analysis for clients, develops management information solutions and enhances the trading capabilities of the firm. At Saranac, he has also worked as part of the Operations team, focusing on performance, automation and data integration. Daniel joined Saranac in 2019 from SS&C Technologies where he held roles in both Client Finance and Enterprise IT, providing services to asset managers and hedge funds. Daniel holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Bristol and the IOC from the CISI.

Edmond Klinke

Edmond Klinke joined Saranac in 2016 as a Portfolio Manager and member of the Investment Committee. Prior to Saranac he managed Discretionary Portfolio Management teams at both HSBC and Barclays Wealth. Ed started his career at Citigroup Asset Management as a portfolio manager in the emerging markets team, and later was responsible for managing the global equity model as well as portfolio construction and risk management of multi-asset class portfolios.

Ella Carmichael

Emily Hooton

Emily works across the client team, management and operations. She provides business management support, looking at data, KPIs and end to end processes. Emily joined Saranac in 2015 from Barclays where she started as part of the client team and later joined the COO team looking at how to improve client processes. Emily has a Masters in Biochemistry from Oxford University and has cycled and ran across Europe for charity.

Gonzalo Ozores

Gonzalo has over 17 years of private banking experience, he is a specialist in multi-asset portfolio construction and alternative investments. He joined the company after working in Geneva for 9 years as an investment advisor at Credit Suisse for both Spanish and Portuguese families. Previously, he worked for UBS advising large Spanish Family Offices and Latin American clients. Gonzalo holds a double degree in law and business, as well as the CFA, CAIA and CMT certificates that accredit his specialization in markets and all types of assets.

Ilinca Calin

Jacobo Duran

Jacobo is part of the Private Capital proposition at Saranac Partners, supporting the team across its diverse range of investment & advisory mandates through public and private markets. Prior to joining Saranac in 2023, Jacobo worked in the Acquisition Finance and Ratings Advisory team at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in London. Jacobo specialised in the financing and advisory to large investment grade and non-investment grade European corporates. Jacobo holds a Bsc in International Business Management from the University of Surrey with a placement year.

Jerry del Missier

Jerry del Missier founded Copper Street Capital in July 2015. Mr. del Missier is responsible for overseeing all investment activities within the firm and setting the firm's strategic direction. He has extensive experience in the financial services industry including business acquisition, growth, restructuring and reengineering. Prior to founding Copper Street, Mr. del Missier was Co-Chief Executive Officer of Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank and subsequently, Chief Operating Officer for Barclays Bank Plc (1997-2012). During his time at Barclays he held various executive leadership positions and he played a key leadership role in the acquisition and integration of Lehman Brothers and the post-crisis restructuring of the bank. Previously, Mr. del Missier was a Senior Managing Director of Derivative Products for Bankers Trust (1988-1997). Mr. del Missier started his career at Scotiabank (1987-1988) in Toronto. Mr. del Missier holds an MBA from Queens University (1987) and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Queens University (1985).

Joel Heilpern

Joel completed 4 years at Dolfin Financial UK LTD in a 360-investment operations role supporting traders on their multi asset desk. Joel graduated from Leeds University with a BA in International Business. Over the past several years, Joel has also been running an International Cryptocurrency spot and derivatives social media group.

Karan Luximon

Karan is part of the Corporate Finance division. He has over 10 years of corporate finance experience and provides clients with strategic advice in relation to their businesses. He has developed a strong expertise and an outstanding deal completion track record across a variety of sectors including technology, industrials, consumer and business services. Karan holds a dual Masters degree in Telecom Technology and Finance from Institut Mines-Telecom and Paris Dauphine University. He started his career within the investment banking division of Société Générale in London advising on large leverage buyouts, and subsequently held roles at Stanhope Capital and finnCap Cavendish where he specialised in business sales. He has been involved in over 40 corporate finance transactions. Successful projects include Sell-Side/Buy-Side M&A, Public-to-Private, LBO and Fundraising transactions.

Kathy Cleary

Kathy joined Saranac in September 2020 and leads our internal finance function. She provides internal financial support to both client advisors and the operations teams. Kathy has an LLB from UCL and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Southampton, London and Amsterdam. She then moved into Private Equity investing and spent six years at 3i Group plc, originating and executing investments for their 5bn buyout fund. Most recently, she ran her own business helping Private Equity houses source and appraise Executive and Non-Executive management for their portfolio companies.

Martin Gilbert

Martin Gilbert has over 35 years' experience in the financial services sector. Martin was a co-founder and former chief executive of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC; building it into a leading global asset manager. He is currently Chairman of Revolut Limited, Toscafund and Deputy Chairman of River and Mercantile Group PLC. He is also the Senior Independent Director at Glencore plc. Martin holds a MA in Accountancy and a LLB in Law from the University of Aberdeen.

Martin Lee

Martin is part of the Private Capital and Financing & Solutions team at Saranac Partners. Prior to Saranac, Martin worked in the investment banking division at Wells Fargo Securities in the Real Estate Syndicated Finance group specialising in the origination, structuring and distribution of debt for global US sponsors for acquisition, refinancing and event driven mandates. Martin also worked at direct lending manager Fiduciam focusing on short-term commercial real estate financings. Martin earned a BSc in Accounting & Finance and MSc in Finance & Investment from the University of Bristol and holds the designation as a Financial Modelling & Financial Analyst (FMVA) from the Corporate Finance Institute.

Maxi Ducam-Davies

He works with Mike Dardis to provide expertise on Saranac's propositions across all asset classes, supporting clients with their investment strategy and varied financial requirements. Maxi joined Saranac in 2023 from Plurimi Wealth, having gained experience in London and New York, ranging from private equity debt origination to growing a proptech startup. Michael Lutter

Michael is part of the compliance team at Saranac Partners, advising on a diverse range of UK and EU regulatory risk and compliance matters. Working with the client adviser and proposition teams, he manages the monitoring programmes at Saranac, focusing on anti-money laundering and risk management, market abuse and suitability, alongside the approvals processes for investment and marketing materials and client onboarding. Prior to joining Saranac, Michael worked with funds-based entities, corporate financial advisers, VC and PE firms at IQ-EQ within their regulatory hosting business. Michael has a bachelor's degree in politics and international relations and a master's in law.

Michelle Witter

Miguel Nigorra is a client advisor and partner at Saranac Partners Europe. He joined Saranac in September 2022 from Banca March, a family owned private bank. Previously and over 20 years, Miguel has worked for both national and international based private and institutional clients in The Citibank Private Bank, UBS, Banco Santander International, and Banco Popular. The main motivation in his carrier as a client advisor has been keeping a client centric approach to all areas of advisory. Miguel spent around 12 years living in the UK, and has a BA (Hons) degree form the European Business School, a constituent school of Regent's University London and a PDG form I.E.S.E Business School.

Prior to joining Saranac in 2017, Mike had spent 3 years advising an international private office. Phil joined Saranac Partners in July 2016 as the Head of Governance. Phil is responsible for Risk and Compliance, a role which includes the prevention of financial crime and data protection. Prior to joining Saranac Phil was the European Head of Compliance at Lombard Odier, where he oversaw Compliance for Europe. Before Lombard Odier Phil worked at HSBC where he was the Head of Compliance for HSBC Private Bank UK and Channel Islands. Phil has held a number of senior compliance roles in Private Banking at JP Morgan, Schroders and Credit Suisse, covering the UK, Channel Islands and Switzerland. Phil is a qualified Public Finance Accountant and gained his Economics degree from Swansea University.

Poppy Laird

Richard Berliand

Richard Berliand's career in the Financial Services sector spans over 35 years. He retired from a full time executive role at J.P.Morgan in 2011. During his 23 years with the Firm, he was involved in multiple asset classes and geographies, most recently as Managing Director leading the Global Cash Equities and Prime Services businesses and chairing the firm's Market Structure practice. Richard's current non-executive activities include a number of roles in the markets arena, including as Chairman of TP ICAP plc, the world's largest inter-dealer broker, and Senior Independent Director of Man Group plc, the largest listed hedge fund group. Previous non-executive positions have included Deutsche Börse AG, Rothesay Life plc, LIFFE and London Clearing House.

Richard Urwin

Richard Urwin is Chairman of the Investment Committee. Along with other members of the Committee, he is responsible for developing and implementing the investment frameworks used by Saranac to manage client assets. These includes asset allocation, security selection and the selection of external managers. He is also involved in communicating Saranac views and performance directly to clients. Prior to joining Saranac, he was Head of the Outsourced CIO function at BlackRock in Europe, responsible for managing $80bn of assets. He was previously Head of Economics and Asset Allocation at Gartmore Fund Managers, and an Economist at Warburgs, the Investment Bank. Richard has a BA and an MA in economics, an MBA, and an MA and MRes in philosophy.

Rick Bains

Rick is Head of Technology at Saranac Partners. He is responsible for innovating, advising and managing the firm's technology and infrastructure. As part of the COO's office he is also responsible for the firms real estate and steers several projects on operational and cost efficiencies. Prior to Saranac Partners, Rick was Head of Major Projects, Key Transactions & Events for Barclays. He has over 20 years IT consulting experience with a number of firms including global mining company Riotinto and multinational engineering and electronics company Bosch. Rick has an undergraduate degree in Business Computing from City University London.

Salah Alrawi

Specialising in all aspects of complex international banking, finance, international corporate/commercial law, fund structuring and formation, asset management and corporate governance & compliance. Sharon has a proactive and an entrepreneurial approach to managing legal and regulatory issues in a cost-effective manner, overseeing key asset and project management, start-ups and fund launches, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, development and asset management activities in wide ranging asset classes. She is an exceptional communicator focusing on developing relationships with diverse clients, board members and stakeholders. Sharon has a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory issues currently facing the financial services industry and designing robust legal risk management systems.

Simon Bowden

Sophie Hacking
