Chris began his career in financial services in 1989 with the Pearl Group, becoming a regional director responsible for East Anglia. In 2002 he joined Throgmorton Asset Management Ltd becoming its Development Director. Working closely with Jason he was instrumental in building and developing Throgmorton Asset Management Ltd. He has been a director of Throgmorton Wealth Management Ltd since 2009 and is involved in all aspects of its business. Chris holds the Diploma for Financial Advisers and as well as looking after his private clients also specialises in providing advice to small and medium sized companies.
Married with three children, Chris lives in Norfolk and enjoys walking on the North Norfolk coast when not at work.
David joined Scottish Provident in 1988 as a Trainee Broker Consultant, he qualified as a Broker Consultant within 6 months and became one of Scottish Provident's youngest Broker Consultants, covering the East Midlands. His career progressed with Friends Provident, Prudential Holborn and Scottish Equitable before qualifying in May 1997 as an Independent Financial Advisor. As an independent Financial Adviser, working for Argent Insurance Brokers before being head hunted by Pearce Murphy Partnership in Leicester City Centre. In 2006, David joined Jason Cross, Chris Bayfield and Derek Barnes, at Throgmorton Asset Management Ltd, as an Investment Adviser, but upon the sale of Throgmorton Asset Management Ltd, he joined Holmes Investments Ltd in 2009 as a director. In 2016, David once again teamed up with Jason, Chris and Derek to buy out Tom Holmes of Holmes Investments Ltd.
David holds the Diploma for Financial Planning and advises on all aspects of financial advice, particularly planning for clients soon to retire or already in retirement.
David lives in Melton Mowbray, with his partner, Linda and his three children. He enjoys the outdoors, walking his dogs and sea kayaking at the weekends.
Derek started his career in financial services with the Pearl Group in 1988, moving to Standard Life in 1997, and has built up an enviable reputation with his large and loyal clients. He has the full range of mortgage and equity release qualifications and joined Throgmorton Asset Management Ltd in 2003 to lead and develop its mortgage business. Awarded the Diploma for Financial Advisers, he joined Throgmorton Wealth Management Ltd in 2009 where as well as advising clients on mortgages, pensions and investments he is also qualified to give advice on long term care.
Derek lives in Norfolk with his wife and three children, and when not at work, is a School Governor and an active member of his local community.
Jason started his career in financial services in 1987 with London based Commodity Broker Rudolf Wolff. In 1992 he formed his first private client advisory business in association with Norwich Union based in Cambridge. In 1994 this tie was ended as Jason decided his, and his firms, future was as an Independent Financial Adviser and he formed SCR Finance (IFA) Ltd. He grew SCR and remained its CEO until its sale to a major Financial Services provider in 2000. In 2002 he founded Throgmorton Asset Management Ltd, which by 2007 was responsible for over 370 million pounds of clients assets.
In 2007 Jason led the sale of Throgmorton Asset Management Ltd to ARC Plc, a London based fund management business. He founded Throgmorton Wealth Management Ltd in 2003 and now focuses all of his time on private client wealth management here, having disposed of his interest in ARC Plc.
Jason lives in South Cambridge with his wife and two children and when not at work he enjoys sailing and skiing.
