Adriana Pardo

Job Titles:
  • Executive Vice President - Latin America
Adriana's experience focusses on complex engineering claims, both onshore and offshore, with particular involvement in well control losses in North and South America. She has a Master's Degree in Petroleum Engineering and is fluent in English and Spanish. Before beginning her adjusting career with MatthewsDaniel in 2009, Adriana spent eight years working in the Gulf of Mexico as an offshore cementing engineering specialist, in both the US Continental Shelf and deepwater environments.

Ahmad Safwan Sakmani

Job Titles:
  • Senior Marine Surveyor
Safwan began his career as a Marine Surveyor in 2014 with the Singapore office before being relocated to the Malaysia office, and he is now based in Dubai, UAE. Since his first day, he has been involved in a variety of Marine warranty-related work, including heavy lifts, project cargo loadouts, and other P&I related investigations, such as damage to offshore structures, vessels, jetties, and rigs; P&I pre-entry and follow-up condition surveys; Ultrasonic hatch cover inspections; vessel suitability; dry cargo; and on and off-hire conditions, including loss prevention and casualty surveys. Several other works on behalf of the Shipowners and insurance Brokers include pre-purchase, valuation, H&M condition, and Risk Assessment surveys as per the Joint Hull Committee requirements. Safwan completed his studies with a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Shipbuilding, and Ocean Engineering Technology from St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University, Russia, in 2011.

Ahmed Al Ghamdi

Ahmed joined MatthewsDaniel in 2012 from Lloyd's Agency in Jeddah, where he had worked for over 8 years. The majority of his experience in the surveying and assessment of losses has been in connection with marine-related works. Ahmed, being a Saudi National, has Arabic is his native language and also speaks English. In addition to his marine expertise, he has also trained in computer engineering and programming. and is presently undertaking a programme of study for international insurance qualifications.

Aleksey Lazarev

Job Titles:

Aleksey joined MatthewsDaniel Moscow in 2010. With a degree in construction and aviation engineering, Aleksey's early career was spent in the marine sector, both seagoing and in safety and management positions ashore. Then, having achieved a postgraduate MBA, Aleksey moved into the risk engineering, management and insurance areas of business for major industrial and transportation companies in Russia. With his qualifications and breadth of background, Aleksey brings a unique combination of technical and commercial experience to his role in adjusting energy, marine and industrial claims. He also performs hull damage surveys and loading, securing and trip-in- tow surveys.

Alexander Mischenko

Alexander graduated with a turbine construction and mechanical engineering degree from Moscow University of Instrument Engineering. His early career in industry inspections and insurance allowed him to develop his loss adjusting expertise. Completion of a postgraduate diploma in International Economics and English further strengthened his business knowledge, while he continued to work for and alongside insurance companies. After making the move to MatthewsDaniel in 2011, Alexander has since adjusted a wide range of claims in the oil and gas, refining, petrochemical and industrial sectors.

Alexey Lebedev

Job Titles:
  • General Director - Russia
Alexey joined MatthewsDaniel in 2007 and is General Director of our Russian operations, based in the centre of Moscow. He services a full range of upstream and downstream energy and industrial claims in Russia and the CIS. Alexey graduated from the Moscow Institute for Physics and Engineering with degrees in Nuclear Physics and Economics in 1995 and is fluent in Russian and English. Before starting his adjusting career, Alexey worked for a Russian oil major in failure investigation, risk assessment and insurance. In addition to his role at MatthewsDaniel, Alexey sits on the supervisory board of The Society of Russian Risk Management.

Andrew Rees

Andrew joined MatthewsDaniel in 1995 and is a recognised market specialist in drilling and well control worldwide. His involvement in high profile claims includes the Lapindo Brantas Indonesian mud volcano, and the Deepwater Horizon loss. With a degree in Geology, Andrew began his career as a mudlogging and pressure control engineer, working on land and offshore units drilling exploration wells, where he was responsible for the early detection of drilling problems and kick situations. After six years' experience in the oil field, he made the transition to the insurance world, working for two major energy brokers, ultimately as an account executive.

Anurag Vadul

Job Titles:

Anurag holds a Master's Degree in Oil and Gas Engineering and a Mechanical Engineering BSc Degree, and is also certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters. He started his career as a Loss Adjuster in 2016 in the UAE and gained his experience in handling constructing, high value plant and machinery, property, marine and engineering claims. Since joining MatthewsDaniel in early 2021, he has been handling a portfolio of complex energy related claims, as well as Onshore Construction, Engineering and Marine claims.

Ashraf Kreshan

Job Titles:

Part of our Saudi team since 2006, Ashraf has wide experience in physical damage losses to general property, machinery breakdown and CAR/EAR claims. Prior to joining MatthewsDaniel, he spent over a decade as a mechanical engineer managing maintenance of locomotives, trains, power generation, utilities, construction and machinery for the Jordanian Railway Company, with specific focus on motors. He holds a mechanical engineering degree and is studying for international insurance qualifications. Ashraf speaks Arabic and fluent English.

Bilal Çakmak


Boby Prasetyo

Boby holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Indonesia and an Indonesian Certified Adjusting Practitioners (ICAP) qualification. During his early career as a plant engineer he was involved in utilities, production maintenance, HSE & risk management, project coordination and procurement. Moving into the insurance industry in 2009 as a loss adjuster for international companies in Indonesia, he has since specialised in engineering claims, handling significant cases involving industrial, machinery and equipment breakdown, power and mining operations. Joining MatthewsDaniel in 2019, he now leads our onshore and property adjusting practice in Indonesia.

Captain Rocky Sangadji

Capt. Rocky Sangadji joined MatthewsDaniel in 2019 as Marine Manager. He graduated from the Maritime College of Science, Jakarta, with a Bachelor's Degree and during an extensive seagoing career he achieved the status of Master Mariner and subsequently sailed as Captain on board chemical tankers. Coming ashore in 2011, he commenced his surveying career, undertaking various MWS assignments as well as H&M and P&I work for various clients. Thereafter he spent two years heading up the operations team of a leading marine insurer in Indonesia before returning to surveying with MatthewsDaniel.

Clayton George

Clayton joined MatthewsDaniel in 2020 as Group Credit Control. This is a significant new role within our organisation to coordinate and streamline our worldwide credit control functions. His entire career has been involved with credit control on an international level in the financial services and internet security industries. Clayton is your main point of contact for any questions regarding payment of our fees.

Dave Menzies

Job Titles:

Dave has responsibility for the performance of foundation analyses that support MatthewsDaniel jack-up rig location, marine project and loss groups. With BS and MSCE degrees from the University of Houston and a Texas Professional Engineering (PE) licence, 30 years of offshore experience and hundreds of studies undertaken, Dave is a recognised industry expert in the interpretation of soil conditions and jack-up rig spudcan penetration analyses. He has worked in most offshore international regions with different types of soil conditions and rigs. A member of several ISO jack-up rig committees, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Marine Technology Society, he has authored numerous publications on soil characterisation and jack-up performance.

David Cisneros

David joined MatthewsDaniel in 2015 with extensive marine and offshore experience. His seagoing career started in 1989 as a naval mechanical engineer on different types of offshore support vessels, then moving onshore as port engineer and head of maintenance for Mexican and Chilean companies. He was also senior marine surveyor, ISM/ISPS auditor and MLC inspector for a major classification society, leading numerous projects and performing safety inspections and security audits on behalf of Flag Administrations. David is an accredited OVID and CMID inspector, bi-lingual Spanish and English and a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and the National Fire Protection Association.

Dedy Irawan

Dedy holds a BSc in Physics and a Masters Degree in Management. After graduation he joined a multinational oil and gas service company as a wireline logging field engineer in Indonesia and Australia. After gaining considerable field experience, he later joined a major international insurance company, underwriting various types of energy related accounts, including power, chemical and petrochemical plants. Dedy joined MatthewsDaniel in 2006 and is currently the Director of our operations in Indonesia. His adjusting experience includes oil and gas well control claims, various complex claims relating to both onshore and offshore construction and operational phases and power plant and telecommunication losses.

Dmitry Fominykh

Dmitry joined MatthewsDaniel in Moscow in 2013. A graduate Chemical Engineer from D.I. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, he started his career as an process engineer in chemical production, then diversified into risk consulting and risk engineering where he gained experience of risk assessment and claims settlement. His previous experience in production, risk engineering and insurance industries, gives him an extensive range of skills for claims resolution in chemical, oil-refining, petrochemical, oil production, steel production.

Don Whelan

Job Titles:

Don joined MatthewsDaniel in 2008 and currently manages technical review for major projects with a focus on Latin America. He also performs technical and procedural reviews of heavy-transport, dry transport and general marine cargo loading, securing and transports, as well as major offshore installation projects both in the Gulf of Mexico and worldwide. Don is a graduate in Marine Engineering Systems Design and is a member of the Society of Offshore Marine Warranty Surveyors, IADC Jack-up Rig Committee and Marine Technology Society.

Duane Mendoza

Duane joined MatthewsDaniel in 2013 and in his current role, he carries out marine warranty surveys and performs technical and procedural reviews of heavy-transport, dry transport and general marine cargo loading, securing and transports, as well as major offshore installation projects both in the Gulf of Mexico and worldwide. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in 2004, he spent his early career as a hull engineer for ship construction, ship conversion and ship repair in Singapore shipyards. He is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and the Marine Technology Society.

Elena Parker

Elena joined MatthewsDaniel in 2006. She has over a decade's experience as an energy adjuster, handling oil and gas, power generation, utilities, construction and machinery breakdown claims, with specific focus on Russia and CIS. She holds an engineering degree in automation and instrumentation from Krasnodar Technical University, in her native Russia, is ACII qualified and speaks fluent Russian and English. Before entering the adjusting sector, Elena's career was in the Russian oil and gas industry, as an engineer responsible for the detailed design and implementation of various projects, in particular gas refineries.

Fauzan Fikri

Fauzan holds Bachelor Degree of Marine Engineering from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS), Surabaya. He is a certified Marine Surveyor and Risk Assessor with more than 3 years of experience in survey, analysis, evaluation, and mitigation of potential risks related to Hull and Machinery cover. His work includes collecting and analysing marine technical data, various P&I surveys, marine hull and machinery condition and damage surveys. He is also involved in ship casualty surveys, including the estimation of repair costs.

Gabriel Wong

Gabriel graduated with a Masters degree in Offshore Oil and & Gas Technology and started his career in the oil and gas industry in 2009, a rig solutions engineer on jack-ups and semi-submersibles, prior to working as a project manager for a global oilfield services company. He commenced his loss adjusting career with MatthewsDaniel in 2015, and with his offshore and safety back background, handles marine and energy claims throughout the Asia Pacific region. He is an Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and a member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb).

Gary Mawditt

Gary graduated with a degree in Geology and started his oil industry career as a mudlogger in the North Sea. This role included monitoring drilling parameters for the early detection of downhole problems and kicks. After completing a Master's degree at Camborne School of Mines, Gary returned to the oil industry onshore Venezuela and offshore Netherlands, UK and Norway. In 1999 Gary made the transition to loss adjusting joining MatthewsDaniel in London, returning again to London head office after a secondment to our Calgary operation. Gary manages a wide range of claims, specialising in complex and high profile well control and drilling-related issues, with a focus on losses in the North Sea, Norway and North and West Africa.

George Begley

George joined MatthewsDaniel with a Masters in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Bristol, and oilfield experience with Haliburton Sperry Drilling. At Halliburton George worked first as a mudlogger and then as a data engineer, primarily in the UK North Sea, as well as a number of onshore assignments elsewhere in Europe. Whilst offshore his responsibilities included monitoring well conditions to provide an early warning system, geological evaluation, engineering analysis and data acquisition service. George commenced his loss adjusting career in February 2013, joining MatthewsDaniel in London, where he developed his knowledge of the London insurance market and the policy forms associated with energy risks, as well as hands on experience in dealing with complex claims. He was involved in adjusting several of the largest control of well claims in the market, located in the North Sea, the Falkland Islands, India, and West Africa. In 2016 George transferred his skills to Singapore and is now key to our handling of well control and other upstream claims in the region, working on cases in Australia, New Zealand, India, SE Asia, and China.

Hany El Gamal

Manager of our Egyptian operation, Hany has 25 years' service with MatthewsDaniel, including a year in London Head Office. He is Bachelor of Commerce, a bilingual Arabic and English speaker and has wide-ranging knowledge of both marine and non-marine sectors, throughout the entire North African region. His adjusting experience includes physical damage, loss of profit, liability and business interruption, well control and loss of production. His expertise extends to risk assessments, and condition surveys and valuation of assets, both on and offshore.

Hany El Mashad

Hany joined MatthewsDaniel Cairo in 2012 with a BSc in Electrical Power and Machines. His technical expertise is key to his involvement in loss investigations and surveys in the energy, utilities and power sectors and other industrial plants, dealing with a wide range of loss types including fire, machinery breakdown and construction.

Hassan Hassan

Hassan holds a BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering and has more than 14 years of experience as a Loss Adjuster, mainly handling major and complex claims on operational and construction policies and risk surveys, in the Energy and Power industries, in North and West Africa, Middle East and Asia, both Offshore and Onshore. He is also certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute. Hassan joined MatthewsDaniel Egypt in 2009, in 2017, he moved to MatthewsDaniel KSA, and in 2018, Hassan joined MatthewsDaniel UAE, where he currently leads the Loss Adjusting operations.

Hermanto Natar

Hermanto joined MatthewsDaniel in 2020 as a Senior Marine Surveyor. He graduated from Maritime College of Science, Jakarta, with a Bachelor's Degree of Master Marine Engineer. He is a certified Marine Safety Investigator with more than 3 years of experience in Marine Accident Investigation, analysis, evaluation, and mitigation of potential risk related to Marine Safety and also experience as a Marine Engineer. His work for government includes collecting and analyzing marine technical data, analyzing the causation of accident and damage, found any finding related marine safety matter and made any recommendation for participant related to the safety matter to prevent of the accident happened in the next future.

Hugh Kennaway

Hugh Kennaway leads our global non-marine adjusting and risk assessment team. He is a Chartered Insurer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters, with over 28 years' adjusting experience, principally in the London market, Middle East, North and West Africa, Europe, CIS Countries and the Russian Federation. Ian Woodhead

Ian is a major and complex loss specialist for on-shore risks and started his career as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector, prior joining the loss adjusting profession. He has over 30 years' experience as a Chartered Loss Adjuster and Chartered Insurance Practitioner, and has handled a range of high value losses both in the UK and overseas. Ian specialises in property damage and liability claims involving complex building structures, construction risks, industrial facilities, energy and plant.

Igor Menshenin

Jake Hannath

Job Titles:

Jake graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Geology from Royal Holloway University of London. He joined MatthewsDaniel after gaining experience in the oilfield, as a mudlogger with Baker Hughes in the UK sector of the North Sea. During this time he worked on jack-up and semi-submersible drilling rigs for various operators, where his responsibilities included well control monitoring duties, engineering and drilling data analysis, and geological and hydrocarbon evaluation. He has been involved on a number of geologically complex wells in the Southern North Sea, and has experience with high pressure/high temperature and horizontal well drilling.

Jazmin Pimentel

After graduating with a bachelor degree in International Affairs, Jazmin began her insurance career in the risk management division of the state oil company in Mexico, handling cargo, hull and machinery claims. She joined MatthewsDaniel in 2014 as a claims adjuster supporting diverse onshore and offshore claims based in our Mexico office.

Jerin Koshy

Jerin holds a Master's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering and has over 18 years' experience working as a General Adjuster, based in the United Arab Emirates, working across the region. He is a known specialist with an eye for detail, involved in handling complex CAR, EAR, CPM, property and power claims throughout the Middle East, Africa and Asia. His wide ranging experience includes several high profile property damage claims, complex construction issues and contentious quantum reviews for distressed claims on behalf of reinsurers.

Jim Clark

Jim is a Master Mariner who joined our London Team in 2015. He represents the marine side of our business in London and works on marine risk assessments and claims that contain a strong maritime element. Prior to joining MatthewsDaniel his professional experience was at sea, for 17 years serving on a wide variety of vessels that included bulk carriers, product tankers to VLCCs and survey vessels. For the last 7 years of his career at sea Jim worked in the offshore oil and gas sector, and before coming ashore was the Master of a large PSV operating in the North Sea.

Juan Almanza

He joined our Mexico team in 2007, handling a diverse range of onshore and offshore claims. Juan holds a BSc in Petroleum Chemical Engineering and MSc in Business Administration and has over 20 years of experience in the energy insurance market. His adjusting experience in energy and petrochemical claims includes Physical Damage, Contractors' All Risk, Hull and Machinery, Cargo, Liability and Well Control coverages. His engineering expertise is also geared towards offshore and onshore risk assessments, surveys and audits, as well as valuations of assets for insurance purposes.

Ken Subramaniam

Ken Subramaniam is a Senior Marine Surveyor within our Singapore marine team. Prior to joining MatthewsDaniel he was employed as a Designated Person Ashore, Company Security Officer and Health Safety Environment Manager for a Marine Offshore company, directly responsible for the safety, security and environment management / operation aspects for a fleet of fifteen DP-2 Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessels. Ken has also served as a Marine Superintendent in a company with a fleet of tanker vessels where he oversaw the company's Tanker Management Self-Assessment, shipboard training, office audits and vessels inspection to conform with OCIMF requirements He holds a Certificate of Competency from Singapore Polytechnic, and has sailed as a Chief Officer on Aframax Crude Oil tankers trading worldwide. Ken also holds an MSc in Marine Surveying from Middlesex University, United Kingdom. As a Surveyor with MatthewsDaniel, he has a wealth of experience in all aspects of Marine surveying, ranging from MWS for Dry Transports, Rig Moves, on/offshore loadout and installation of structures for Oil & Gas projects to P&I and H&M assignments related to loss prevention and casualty surveys. In addition, Ken is also involved in vessel Condition Surveys for On/Off-hire, Pre-Purchase inspections and Risk Assessment Surveys for Shipyards as per Joint Hull Committee requirements.

Kevin Jarman

Formerly Chief Executive of MatthewsDaniel for nearly 30 years, Kevin now has a role as Special Advisor to the Group, still very much involved in our business. He has spent his adjusting career working primarily in our UK and Middle East operations, and is still actively leading major claims, particularly where there are business interruption aspects. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and, with his extensive market experience, is regularly in demand as a speaker at international industry events.

Lee Ecclestone

Lee graduated in Physics from the University of Sheffield and went on to earn his Masters and Doctorate in Engineering Materials. A natural career progression saw him join The Welding Institute as a project leader where he spent four years working on R&D and failure analysis for clients in a wide range of industries, including the oil and gas sector. Lee made the move to adjusting with MatthewsDaniel in 2005 and he is a key metallurgical specialist in our team, with his expertise contributing to resolving major losses where there are significant materials aspects. Lee also has extensive experience in physical damage claims on mobile drilling units, on a variety of policy forms, including the Norwegian Marine Insurance Plan.

Leena Jayaram

Leena graduated with a law degree from University of London in 1991 and completed her Masters in 1997. Initially based in her native Malaysia, her early career was as a legal executive for a major power generation company in the region, with responsibilities for handling insurance requirements. Leena then moved to the European oil and gas sector as a contract specialist in Italy, supporting detailed analysis of worldwide onshore and offshore tender proposals and advising on indemnity and insurance. In 2003, Leena joined MatthewsDaniel and has adjusted a variety of onshore and offshore energy related losses specialising in FPSO, energy construction and liability claims.

Liew Boon

Based in Singapore, Liew handles a wide loss adjusting portfolio, both offshore and onshore energy including renewables, for the Asia Pacific region, in particular China and Japan. He commenced his career in the oil and gas industry in the Singapore shipyard/construction sector in 2002, before embarking on a career in adjusting with MatthewsDaniel in 2005. Liew is also an accomplished risk surveyor, having performed numerous risk and valuation surveys for shipyards and production facilities. He is a fluent Mandarin speaker, holds a mechanical engineering degree and is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner with the UK Chartered Insurance Institute, and is a Senior Associate with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

Hung is a marine engineer and surveyor who joined MatthewsDaniel after a six year sea-going career as an engineering officer on chemical tankers and general purpose cargo vessels. Since joining MatthewsDaniel in 2006, he has been involved with all types of marine survey services including condition, cargo and offshore property damage surveys. Hung is a qualified Marine Engineer Officer and also holds a BA in Engineering from the Vietnam Maritime University.

Malvinder Gill

Capt. Gill is a Master Mariner who, prior to joining MatthewsDaniel, served onboard a variety of vessels including general cargo and bulk carriers, tankers, drillships and semi-submersibles, onshore as Marine Superintendent and Port Captain for a clean product and chemical tanker owner. During his 20 year career with MatthewsDaniel, Gill's experience has been key to both our adjusting and marine services. In his role as Regional Operations Director he now supervises our adjusting operations across all five offices within Asia Pacific, and is still active on onshore and offshore operational and construction energy claims and shipyard claims arising from ship repair, builder's and construction risks. His marine background has seen him involved in inspections, investigations and warranty services for numerous offshore projects, together with risk and valuation surveys.

During this period Mark held a number of senior positions including OIM and project manager for drydocking of MODUs, including control of project upgrade costs. He was also responsible for a program of classification society surveys and implementation of quality assurance and environmental management systems for a fleet of MODUs. In his loss adjusting career, he is involved in major, complex and contentious claims related to onshore and offshore construction, well control, oil and gas process/production equipment and pipelines throughout the region. With his seagoing experience, he has a practical understanding of marine hull insurance and has resolved many marine hull and machinery losses with particular focus on shipyard claims. Mark is a UK Chartered Insurance Practitioner (CIP), a qualified member of the UK Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) and a Senior Associate CIP Member of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

Mark Barraclough

Mark has over 35 years of experience as a General Loss Adjuster and is based in our London Office where is works with our Downstream team. Over the last 25 years he has mainly worked overseas, initially throughout the Caribbean and North America before moving in 2007 to the Middle East to focus on Major Losses in the Onshore and Downstream markets, as well as on Power and Energy claims. More recently, he spent 10 years based full-time in South-East Asia in a Technical Advisory capacity for a Global Loss Adjuster. During this time he managed numerous major and complex losses for several large construction projects and civil engineering works, industrial manufacturing notably in Textiles, Petrochemical, Sugar, Paper and Pulp as well as in Mining, Power (Generation, Distribution and Transmission) and onshore Oil & Gas facilities. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.

Mark Leonard

Mark is a Chartered Engineer with over 35 years of industrial and commercial experience in a range of different roles involving transportation and heavy engineering, design and commercial construction. Since 1991, he has been employed as a Loss Adjuster and Risk Surveyor, primarily handling claims and surveys with an Engineering bias, in the UK and abroad. Since 2001, Mark has been the Regional Engineer and Risk Survey Manager for MatthewsDaniel in the United Arab Emirates, having undertaken assignments throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe, and has significant experience in industrial process, construction and operational environments.

Mark Stronge

Mark is a lead adjuster on major claims, particularly where there is a focus on CAR aspects. Mark's early career was in the merchant navy, coming ashore to study for a BEng in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering at Strathclyde University. After graduating in 1990, Mark joined MatthewsDaniel Cairo office, initially as a marine surveyor. During his time in Egypt he made the transition to loss adjusting and transferred to the London office in 1992, where his combination of experience and insight is called upon to engineer solutions to complex claims.

Mohamed Aslan

Based out of Alexandria since 2007, Mohamed is involved in all aspects of our marine surveying and warranty related services. Prior to that, with a BSc degree in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture, Mohamed joined the oil industry and developed his career as a barge engineer on various classes of mobile offshore drilling units.

Mohamed Hassan

Mohamed has over 30 years' experience in the insurance industry working mainly in the marine surveying and loss adjusting areas, including 23 years' service with MatthewsDaniel. He is Bachelor of Science; a bilingual Arabic and English speaker; and has wide-ranging knowledge of both marine and non-marine sectors. His experience includes losses and damage to general property, onshore and offshore energy, CAR/EAR losses, liability and business interruption. His expertise extends to construction risk surveys, risk assessment and valuation of fixed assets. Mohamed Motawea

Mohamed joined our team in Cairo in 2011 with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering. He is involved in loss investigations, surveys and adjusting in the energy industry, utilities, power and industrial plants on a variety of loss types including fire, machinery breakdown and construction.

Mohd Ikbal Arshad

As Marine Director, Capt. Ikbal joined the MatthewsDaniel marine team in 2006 after a period as a Marine Superintendent for a fleet of crude oil/product and chemical tankers, which saw him dealing with the safety and operational aspects of fleet management, as well as ensuring the vessels met the demands of OCIMF requirements. Holding a Certificate of Competency and has sailed as senior office on different types of vessels. As Marine Manager, Capt. Ikbal oversees the day to day activities of the marine survey team in the Asia Pacific region. He still undertakes P&I related work and H&M claims investigations for vessels and assets and is particularly active as a Marine Warranty Surveyor, engaged in rig moves, dry transports, on/offshore loadout and offshore and subsea installations. Capt. Ikbal is a member of SOMWS, and an accredited CMID and OVID Inspector.

Muhammad Saiful

Stewart joined Matthews Daniel in 2018 and brings 6 years of upstream oil and gas experience. After graduating with a MEng Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh, he joined oilfield services company Schlumberger as a measurements and logging engineer. During this time, he worked on many high profile drilling campaigns across Europe and Africa, where he was responsible for real-time data acquisition and interpretation. Sulaiman Achmad

Sulaiman joined MatthewsDaniel adjusting team in 2017, bringing a wealth of technical adjusting experience. Thanveer Muhammed

Tom Hunt

Prior to joining MatthewsDaniel, Tom had graduated with an LLB (Hons) in Law and a BSc (Hons) in Exploration and Resource Geology. His early career was in the offshore oil and gas industry working as a Data Engineer for Baker Hughes in the North Sea, where he was responsible for the monitoring and interpretation of well conditions, drilling and engineering parameters, the evaluation of geological and hydrocarbon samples and data acquisition. During his time offshore Tom worked on numerous platforms, jack-ups and semi-submersibles around the North Sea but predominantly in the complex, deepwater oil and gas fields west of the Shetland Isles in the North Atlantic. Tom also has experience within the mining industry, working at the Kinsevere copper mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo as an Exploration Geologist.
