Dr. Maria Isabel Guevara received her Dental Degree from Colombia's prestigious Universidad Autonoma de Manizales. Afterward, her passion for orthodontics carried her back to Colombia. She studied for three years to obtain her specialist degree as an orthodontist from the Universidad del Valle in Cali. She later completed an Advanced Program in Orthodontics at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
After four years living and practicing in Chicago, she and her family moved to South Florida, where she completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at the Larkin Community Hospital.
Her experience in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics leads to better outcomes and happier and healthier patients. Dr. Guevara is meticulous, energetic, and charismatic, the type of dentist that patients love.
In her spare time, she loves to be with her family, play tennis, and exercise.
Dr. Ruiz is a general dentist with over 25 years of experience. He is very knowledgeable in all phases of dentistry. Dr. Ruiz graduated from Tufts Dental School in Boston. Over his 25 years of practice, he has taken over 500 hrs of continuous education to stay up to date with the new technologies and advances in dentistry. He is proficient in all aspects of dentistry, including Cosmetic dentistry, root canal, sleep apnea, orthodontics, Invisalign certified, Oral Conscious sedation, and restorative dentistry. Originally from Puerto Rico, he is fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Ruiz lives in Miami with his wife and kids. Away from the office, he enjoys golf, traveling, and sports.
