Liam Cotter

Liam has specialised in Recovery and Insolvency since 1986. He has primarily worked in the Yorkshire and Humber region. Liam's career began at the London office of the international firm of Arthur Andersen & Co in 1982. Having trained in audit and tax he began specialising in insolvency and restructuring in 1986, initially dealing largely with bank lead projects and IBR's. Spells at other national and international firms included Grant Thornton and Baker Tilly where his experience broadened into both bank and director lead work. In 1998 he was approached to establish and head up a new practice, Jacksons Jolliffe Cork. In a period of 9 years, under his direction as Managing Partner, the firm became one of the leading independent firms in the region. The business was sold to RSM Tenon in 2007 following which he continued in a role as Director. Liam is the co-founder of the independent firm, Kingsbridge, which was formed in 2013 to provide insolvency and advisory services across the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region. Experience and skills Common sense and commercial awareness is a vastly underrated commodity. When trying to solve the problems of distressed businesses and exposed lenders these skills are essential, not optional extras! Liam has combined these essential skills with the insolvency and accounting knowledge developed over three decades and business skills honed in starting, growing, and selling a successful business. The product is someone who listens and observes; challenges and questions; focuses on the important issues, and seeks to find commercial solutions to the problems of distressed businesses. Solutions may or may not include formal insolvency procedures, he has delivered both. Liam has advised businesses ranging in size from OMB's, to foreign owned multi-nationals in activities from manufacturing to professional football clubs. Lindsey Weatherill

Lindsey has specialised in Insolvency matters since 2003, working in the Humber region. Lindsey started her career at Jacksons Jolliffe Cork before moving on to RSM Tenon. Lindsey joined Kingsbridge Corporate Solutions on its formation in November 2013, her main focus is in the local owner managed business sector. Lindsey completed the AAT qualification in 2006 and is a full member of the association. Experience and skills Lindsey's expertise is based in the SME sector, dealing in a sensitive and professional manner with Insolvent business sales and closures. Lindsey's varied experience in the local market ensures a strong commercial approach across a variety of sectors. Lindsey has a wealth of experience in dealing with both Protocol and Non-Protocol compliant Individual Voluntary Arrangements, including negotiating with HM Revenue and Customs. Lindsey also has particular expertise in employment claims and an excellent track record of assisting directors in claiming redundancy entitlements. Sarah Burge

Sarah has specialised in Recovery and Insolvency since 1997. She has primarily worked in the Humber and Yorkshire region. Sarah's career began at Ernst & Young and her "big four" background provides an understanding of stakeholder issues having been involved in a number of high profile assignments for major lenders. In the last ten years, Sarah has focused on the SME market and her expertise lies in working with businesses facing financial difficulty to identify and address the fundamental issues of distress. She is proactive in generating innovative and creative solutions to help businesses survive and prosper. Sarah also has corporate finance experience including distressed M&A solutions. Sarah qualified as a licensed insolvency practitioner in 2004 and acted as office holder on numerous formal insolvency appointments at RSM Tenon. She is the co-founder of the independent firm, Kingsbridge, which was formed in 2013 to provide insolvency and advisory services across the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region. Experience and skills Sarah's varied experience provides a strong commercial understanding across a variety of sectors and with complex group and overseas structures. Her sector specialisms include: Construction Manufacturing Food processing Haulage Not for profit Sarah has acted as Supervisor of numerous successful CVAs and partnership/sole trader IVAs ensuring the recovery and survival of the business and repayments to creditors. As a Chartered Accountant, Sarah has a hands on approach to business forecasting and monitoring. Sarah also has extensive insolvency experience of trading companies in administration and has completed a number of sales of businesses as going concerns. Sarah has been a leading figure in undertaking an increasing number of solvent winding up and reconstruction appointments, she has extensive experience working closely with other professional advisors from optimising shareholder value in a family owned businesses to large group reconstructions. Simon Smith

Simon has specialised in Recovery and Insolvency since 1990, working with clients throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Training with Coopers and Lybrand / PwC, Simon has also worked with Haines Watts and RSM Tenon. Simon joined Kingsbridge Corporate Solutions upon its formation in 2013. Simon's primary focus has been providing advice to SMEs and their stake-holders. He enjoys providing practical solutions in a wide range of distressed situations. Experience and skills Simon has considerable experience across a variety of business sectors including: Logistics Manufacturing Food production Simon has implemented several successful CVAs both on a stand-alone basis and also as an exit from administration. He has completed many administrations including a number of going concern business sales to preserve employment and enhance creditors' returns. Simon has also gained experience of working with UK subsidiaries of Norwegian, German and Dutch groups to ensure that relationships with the foreign stakeholders are managed appropriately.
