The legal predecessor of Egri Csillagok Zrt was established in the 1960's as an agricultural cooperative. It was expanded in the 1970's and became one of the largest viticulture holdings in Hungary at the time. In that period, it mostly focused on viticulture, rather than winemaking... From the 1990's, we have been constantly improving the technology employed in our winery, which since then more than doubled its capacity from 24,000 hl to 50,000 hl. In the past few years, we purchased modern fermentation tanks and a bottling machine with 3,000 bottle/hour capacity. As of 2014, we have been producing wine under the Egervin brand as well... Expertise since we intend to create the best quality wines for our customers with constantly investing in new technologies.
