Mr. Ahmad Thani Rashed Al

Mr. Ahmad Thani Al Matrooshi joined Emaar Properties in 2005, bringing with him over 26 years of experience in real estate and property management. Mr. Al Matrooshi is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Emaar, including government affairs, media, public and community relations and overall management of Emaar Dubai. Prior to joining Emaar, Mr. Al Matrooshi spent 24 years working with the Government of Dubai, serving for almost a decade as the CEO of Dubai Development Board (DDB) and for 14 years as the Deputy Director of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI). He is a Board Member of Dubai Investment Park, and is the Founder and Chairman of the non-profit Dubai Property Group (DPG). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and a Diploma in Property Management.

Mr. Fadi El Borno

With extensive experience in supporting Emaar's international project development portfolio, Fadi El Borno leads the Joint Ventures division at Emaar Properties. In his role, Fadi is responsible for the end-to-end management and execution of Emaar's joint venture projects with Dubai World Central (DWC) and Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC). Fadi will work closely with various departments including development and projects, sales & marketing and finance to successfully deliver project completion and profitability against set targets. Fadi joined Emaar in 2004, and was most recently overseeing the operations of Emaar Middle East in Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Hadi Badri

Mr. Badri joined Emaar in 2015, where he plays a vital role in international market expansion. He leads the Boards of NAMSHI, Emaar India, ROVE Hotels and Mirage Leisure & Development. Prior to joining Emaar, Mr. Badri had over nine years of management consulting and corporate strategy experience and five years of global private equity experience. He joined Bain & Company in 2010 as a Case Team Leader and was promoted to Manager in 2011. He was promoted again to Principal in 2014. At Bain, he developed strategies for leading conglomerates and financial institutions. Mr. Badri was previously Executive Director of the CEO's Office at SHUAA Capital where he was responsible for corporate strategy, M&A and special projects. He transferred to SHUAA from Dubai International Capital (DIC) where he joined as an Associate in 2004 before being promoted to Associate Director in 2007 and again to Executive Director in 2009. At DIC, he was involved in the deployment of over $5BN in regional and international buyouts, growth and development capital deals, minority stakes, pre-IPOs, public equities and LP interests. In 2006, Mr. Badri was seconded to The Carlyle Group in Washington DC. During his time at Carlyle, he served as an Associate with Carlyle Venture Partners and focused on US growth buyouts. Mr. Badri was previously an Associate in the Strategy Department of The Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He served as a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum. He holds a BA, Magna Cum Laude Honors in Economics from Tufts University in Massachusetts, USA.

Mr. Muhammad Ali Baig

Mr. Muhammad Ali Baig has joined us at Emaar Pakistan with effect from August 10, 2020. Mr. Ali is Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and Chartered Management Accountant from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. Before joining Emaar he was working with Mondelez Pakistan as Financial Controller & Company Secretary. He will lead Emaar Pakistan Finance & Business Development functions and will be responsible to formulate and execute Strategy to attain business objectives.

Mr. Sohail Baig

Mr. Sohail Baig joined Emaar Pakistan in April 2019. He currently oversees all aspects of business operations for Emaar Pakistan. Prior to joining Emaar, Mr. Baig was the Chief Financial Officer for Unilever Pakistan. During his 16-year tenure at Unilever, he has gained extensive Finance and Business experience in both developed and developing markets. In 2017/18, under Mr. Baig's leadership, Unilever Pakistan posted double-digit growth and record profitability despite a challenging economic and political environment. This was recognised through various accolades including Unilever's ‘Global Compass' Award for the best-performing company. His diverse professional experiences include Business Partnering, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Controller, Financial Shared Services, Global Internal Audit and Supply Chain roles across various markets. Mr. Baig joined Unilever as a Management Trainee and has held various country, regional and global finance leadership roles with complex business portfolios and large teams in Singapore, Netherlands and Pakistan. He holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi and is a member of the CFA Institute - a global association of investment professionals in the USA.
