Alan G. Stewart

Job Titles:

Alan is a real estate solicitor and a partner at Morton Fraser in Edinburgh where he works in the commercial real estate division. He has over 20 years experience working with property companies, developers and corporate occupiers. He has a particular interest in the role that organisations in the housing sector can play to support those living with dementia.

Angela Currie - CEO

Job Titles:

Angela joined Hanover in January 2021 and has a distinguished career in social housing having worked at a senior level for a number of local authorities and housing associations and is a highly experienced strategist and business leader. She was instrumental in setting up and developing that national benchmarking club in Scotland and led the way in terms of improving performance management systems and customer engagement in the scrutiny of performance and decision making. In more recent years Angela has led a number of significant social care services with the housing association sector and helped inform national policy on the integration of health and social care.

Ashley Campbell CIHCM

  • Policy and Practice Manager at the Chartered Institute of Housing ( CIH ) Scotland
Ashley is the Policy and Practice Manager at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland covering a broad range of issues across the housing sector and across tenures. Ashley is also a trustee of the Existing Homes Alliance Scotland, a charity which campaigns for improvements to homes to tackle climate change and reduce fuel poverty.

Bryony Willett

Bryony has been Chief Executive of Maryhill Housing since 2017. She joined Maryhill in August 2015 as Director of Housing. Prior to Maryhill Bryony worked at Islington Council for nine years having started as a graduate trainee. Her expertise includes strategic planning, housing management, asset management, health and safety, business planning, external funding bids, regeneration options appraisals, resident engagement, service development and contract management. Bryony has previously held Board positions at the Chartered Institute of Housing Scotland, Thistle Housing Association and Hyelm Housing Association in London.

Chris Milburn

Chris joined Hanover in 1999 as IT Manager. Before this, he worked in the private sector in London and has more than 18 years' experience in ICT and systems management. Chris was appointed Director of Business & Communications in 2009 and became Director of the newly formed Customer Services department in 2014. Chris has an MBA (2012) and has been a member of the British Computer Society since 2004.

Christa Reekie

As part of her role as Director of Development and Housing at Scottish Futures Trust Christa was responsible for the implementation of the National Housing Trust, the first mid-market rent initiative in Scotland, and other related affordable housing projects. She is interested in combining her commercial and legal skills with strategic thought, particularly in the housing sector, and also has a keen interest in the realistic implementation of ideas and strategies.

Donald Taylor

Donald was most recently co-founder of Hidden Trax app, which delivered city podcast adventures, championing local voices. This followed 20 years with Microsoft in global executive roles, living in the USA, Germany and India. Prior to that he had his own consulting business in Edinburgh. He is currently a Board member of Stills Photography Gallery in Edinburgh.

Donna Henderson

Donna joined Hanover as Director of Strategic Finance in March 2020. She is a qualified accountant with a wealth of third sector experience including housing and the NHS. Most recently she worked with another large RSL in a senior finance role. She is also a Board member at a charity supporting vulnerable young women. She has a customer focused approach and a drive make a positive difference to the lives of our residents.

Fraser Mitchell

Fraser has held various operational and strategic management positions in Social Work services in Strathclyde and Fife, mainly in multi-disciplinary teams involving close partnership working with Health and the independent sector.

Gary Devlin

Gary is a qualified chartered accountant. He is a Partner and National Head of Internal Audit with Azets, based in Edinburgh. Gary has over 20 years' experience delivering public sector internal audit, external audit and advisory services to public sector and charity organisations across the UK. He is a past chair of CIPFA Scotland and a member of the Local Authority (Scotland) Accounts Advisory Board. Gary was appointed as Chair of Hanover's Board on 23 September 2021.

James Rowney

Job Titles:

James is Head of Solutions at the Royal Bank of Scotland. His team provides specialist advice to corporate and commercial customers at critical times. He has a keen interest in housing and has been involved in many aspects of it over a number of years.

Kathleen McAdams

Kathleen is a Human Resources professional and Executive Coach and mentor with 30 years' experience in people management and since 2017 has run her own HR consultancy - Albany HR. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), with additional qualifications in mediation and project management. In her current role, Kathleen supports organisations both nationally and globally, with all aspects of Reward, Employee Engagement, Organisational Design, Employee Relations and Talent Management.

Margaret Whoriskey

Margaret is employed by the Scottish Government leading the national programme to drive adoption of new technology to transfer health and social care. She is responsible for the national Technology Enabled Care Programme which is aiming to support at scale deployment in Scotland.

Maurissa Fergusson

Maurissa joined Hanover as Director of Asset Management in August 2023. She has experience in a number of senior roles, most recently as Head of Property, Development & Facilities at Scotmid Co-operative. She has extensive experience in the property sector for over 20 years and is a qualified architect.

Robert T. Rowe

Robert has been a Hanover tenant in Dumfries and Galloway since retiring 3 years ago. Previously he worked as an Engineer specialised in Renewable Energy for the United Nations and other International agencies around the world. His interest is to work towards seeing all Hanover properties become Carbon Neutral in emissions by 2030 if possible. Robert holds a graduate degree in International Development Studies from Morgan State University in the USA and did undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering at Solent University.

Wendy Russell

Wendy joined Hanover as Head of Governance and Transformation in August 2021 and took on the role of Director of Business Support and Transformation on 1 May 2022. Wendy has over 20 years' experience across housing care and manufacturing, primarily in leadership, compliance, regulatory and business improvement roles. For the last 6 years Wendy has worked in the RSL Sector in a Head of Business Services & Company Secretary role, focussing on strategic governance and digital transformation.
