INDANUBE

INDanube aims to generate and to facilitate innovation projects through its services and shall engage in the build-up of a policy framework which enables and supports innovation in Danube IWT. This policy framework shall be embedded in the existing initiatives of the European Commission which foster the further development of the inland navigation sector in Europe especially such of the TEN-T, the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) and NAIADES II... Set up in January 2016 by Pro Danube Management GmbH, INDanube functions as facilitator and promoter of innovation in IWT on the Danube and its navigable tributaries. In the start-up phase, the work of INDanube focuses on Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania as these countries offer high potentials for cargo and key industry stakeholders as well as provide organisational support structures to reach out to key stakeholders.
