MIDWEST TRUCKERS RISK MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

On June 15, 1991, the Mid-West Truckers Risk Management Association (MTRMA) was created through the combined efforts of the initial MTRMA members and Board of Directors, the Mid-West Truckers Association and Cannon Cochran Management Services, Inc. At that time in history, trucking companies in Illinois were faced with skyrocketing insurance rates, ineffective insurance services and cancelled insurance coverage. Thus, the fundamental purpose of the program was then as it is today - to provide an affordable and stable long-term workers compensation alternative for reputable, qualifying trucking companies in Illinois... The Mid-West Truckers Association (MTA) is the sponsoring association for the MTRMA program. The support of MTA cements MTRMA, and is likely the most critical component of the self-insured group's long-lasting success.
