Anastasia Chunilal

Anastasia has been helping WLZ with various fundraising initiatives since 2018 in her role on the Development Board. Before moving to London in 2015, she lived in Hong Kong where she was on the board of The Child Development Centre, head of their Finance Committee and very active in their fundraising. She was a Director at Merrill Lynch in Investment Banking and in their International Private Client group until 2005. She holds a BS in Finance from Georgetown University.

Andy Cooke

Andy is the Chief Executive of the Centre of Social Justice. Before this, he co-founded and led an award-winning charity working with disadvantaged and excluded young people across the Midlands. Andy's experience in and passion for the voluntary sector has led him to be a Trustee of Dallaglio Rugby Works, The Christopher Nieper Foundation and a Judge on the Queens award for Voluntary Service.

Anthony Harte

Anthony is Head of Social Performance UK, at Shell, and leads the Social Investment and Social Performance teams to address pressing social challenges. Prior to joining Shell, Anthony spent 16 years in Investment Banking helping mobilise finance to advance social, economic and environmental outcomes. Anthony sits on a range of not-for-profit boards and has been recognised for his contributions to ESG and Diversity and Inclusion with several industry awards, including the Lord Mayor's Heart of the City Award.

Beth Murray

Beth Murray runs Workplace For Good, the global philanthropic programme from Facebook, supporting educators and nonprofits to become more collaborative and connected. She is a local land campaign community activist, Vice Chair of the Social Tech Trust, the social technology funder and advises charities on communications, change management and effective employee engagement. She is a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellow, with her research focusing on the intersection between charity and technology and has contributed to several publications on the ethics of social media. She was formerly Director of Communications and Engagement at national charity Catch22. She is a former Haymarket Media Young Professional of the Year.

Carlos Husbands

Carlos is the Director at Becauze, a Community Interest Company that aims to bring people together through community events, tackling issues such as environmental problems and changing mindsets. He is passionate about dealing with social issues that hamper young people achieving their potential. Carlos grew up and attended school in West London, and now works for the civil service in a youth engagement and diversion department in the area, helping to shape the models used to engage with young people.

Cathrine Clark

Cathrine Clarke is a qualified and registered social worker and Group Head for Safeguarding at Coram Children's charity. Her practice background is in mental health and children's social work, with safeguarding children and adults at the heart in practitioner, educator and regulatory roles. At Coram she provides practice delivery frameworks and systems to enable optimum outcomes for children across a diverse span of services, including legal, educational, fostering and adoption, young people's advocacy, creative therapies and co production with some direct leadership of services.

Charlotte Clark

Charlotte Clark founded INCA Productions in 1998 with Nina Ferguson after having started her career in New York. Charlotte's speciality is luxury lifestyle, working with clients such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Cartier for over twenty years.

Chris Thomsen

Chris is a global equity portfolio manager at Capital Group. He has 25 years of investment experience, all with Capital Group. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor's degree in international economics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He has been a board member of the Africa Foundation for the past 15 years.

Chris Wright

Former CEO of the innovative social business Catch22, Chris originally trained as a social worker and spent much of his early career working in the criminal justice system. Over his career he has become increasingly interested in how to reset public services so that they can become more agile, relational, entrepreneurial, and more local. As well as his trustee role at West London Zone he is a Non-Executive Director of Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust, chairs Catalyst Choices and Jobs22, and is a Non-Executive Director of Big Society Capital. He is also a trustee of Unlocked Graduates.

Dr. Annalisa Jenkins

Dr. Annalisa Jenkins, M.B.B.S., F.R.C.P. is a life sciences thought leader with over 25 years of experience building and financing companies pursuing cures for the most challenging diseases globally. Dr Jenkins graduated in Medicine at the University of London and received her Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians London. She trained in Cardiovascular medicine and was a research fellow at Imperial College. Earlier in her career, Dr. Jenkins was a medical officer in the British Royal Navy during the Gulf Conflict, achieving the rank of Surgeon Lieutenant Commander. Following her relocation back to the UK, she developed a portfolio of roles spanning the public, private and charitable sectors including Genomics England, The King's Fund, British Heart Foundation and Chair of YouBelong, a leading mental health care charity. Dr. Jenkins serves as board member of several growing public and private companies including Oncimmune, AVROBIO, COMPASS Pathways, Affimed and Mereo Biopharma.

Dr. Melanie Claxton

Dr Melanie Claxton is a Clinical Psychologist, specialising in the area of children and families. She works as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the NHS, an Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow at University College London (UCL) and is the Director and founder of The Support System (providing psychology services to professionals in education, youth and mental health settings). She has worked in the area of mental health for around 18 years, and is experienced in providing psychological therapy, supervision, consultation and training.

Ed Vainker - CEO

Ed is the CEO of the Reach Foundation and co-founder and Executive Principal of Reach Academy Feltham. He leads the Foundation's work in Feltham, the Reach Children's Hub and its Cradle to Career partnerships around the country. He previously worked with Teach For All on their teacher training programme and now sits on their Board. He also serves on the Advisory Board to the Children's Commissioner for England. Ed was also one of the founders of Oak National Academy, which is part of the Reach Foundation.

Elena Brown

Elena Brown is a research leader at RAND Europe in the field of early years and education. She oversees numerous research projects spanning early childhood education, school-aged children, and parenting interventions. Prior to joining RAND, Brown was a senior evaluation manager at the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) where she designed and managed the creation of a large online database of measures looking at mental health and non-academic outcomes. Previously, she worked as the lead researcher on a mixed-methods multi-site study of parenting programme implementation on behalf of the Centre for Mental Health. Prior to working in research, she was a classroom teacher. She holds an M.Ed. in psychology and education from the University of Cambridge.

Farial Missi

Farial is the Community Engagement Manager at Imperial College. She was born and grew up in West London where she continues to be a Community Champion building trusted relationships, and has received several awards as a testament to her dedication. Previously, she worked at West London Zone where she joined as one of the first-ever Link Workers, based in Phoenix Academy for our Pilot in 2015. In this role, she helped to shape the programme and role, and then progressed to become the Deputy Head of Link Work.

Felicity Gillespie

Julie Howarth

Former Executive Headteacher for Kenmont and Wendell Park Primary Schools, West London Zone partner schools. Prior to her teaching career, Julie was involved in women's health and community development and was on the board for Women and Health where her role included developing support around domestic violence within Camden.

Kate Storey - Chairman

Kate joined WLZ as Chair of our Development Board in 2019.

Lady Juliet Hughes-Hallett

Juliet is former Chair and now Honorary President of Smart Works, a charity that she co-founded in 2013 to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives. She led Smart Works through a period of significant growth into the national enterprise it is today, helping over 17,000 disadvantaged women back into the workplace.

Lydia Forte

He is a member of the Law Family Commission on Civil Society, and is a leading expert on the subject of income inequality.

Naomi Hulston

Radhika Dubé

Tim Hobbs
