Dr. Somboune Manolom - SVP

Dr. Somboune Manolom , is Senior Vice President of the AIF Group. He holds Ph.D Degree in electrical sciences from Moscow Power Engineering Institute since 1989 and had been working in Electric Power Sector for almost 38 years starting from 1980. His experience covers wide range of works such as power sector development planning and policy, master plan studies and feasibility studies of potential hydropower projects, constructions of hydropower and thermal power projects, operation and maintenance of power plants in Lao PDR. Dr. Somboune Manolom actively involved in implementation of power projects, particularly the IPP projects of large-scale for export to Thailand and Vietnam. He had built up capacity, skill and experiences in negotiations for MOU, PDA, shareholder agreements, CA, PPA, financing agreements of 4 projects with loan amount of 5,040.25 million USD for projects' debt financing and GOL equity financing for the 4 projects with combine equity loan of 536.64 million USD. Dr. Somboune Manolom was appointed to many important positions with Government agencies such as CEO of Hydropower Office (HPO) for 7 years, Deputy Director General of the Department of Electricity (DOE) for 6 years, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Handicrafts (MIH) for 5 years and General Manager of Lao Holding State Enterprise (LHSE) for almost 13 years, during which he directly involved in developing Nam Theun 2, Hongsa Lignite, Xepian-Xenamnoy and Nam Ngiep 1 power projects with combine installed capacity of 3658 MW, annual energy generation of 21551 GWh and project costs of 6933 million USD, financing of which were provided by more than 30 regional banks, international banks, ECAs and IFIs, including WB, ADB and EIB.

Mr. Bounmy Phanenourath - VP

Mr. Bounmy Phanenourath , is Vice President of the Group in charge of Finance and Corporate Affairs. Mr. Bounmy is graduated with Master degree in Science and Engineering from Kazakh Polytechnic Institute (A Republic of the Former Soviet Union) and Bachelor Degree in Business Accounting from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Mr. Bounmy has been working in the field of accounting, finance and corporate affairs for more than 20 years in many business sectors including Education, Mining, Petroleum and Telecom. He has also significant working experiences with the public sectors involving the International Financial Institutions, and Government Agencies. He has also set up the very successful family business in the field of Public-Relations, Advertisement, Marketing, Events Organizing and Petroleum trading.

Mr. Pheutsapha Phoummasak - VP

Mr. Pheutsapha Phoummasak , is First Vice President of the AIF Group, in charge of Energies and Utilities, Property Developments, and Construction Businesses of the Group and CEO of AIDC Co., Ltd. After working in various positions with Fa Watthana Co., Ltd., He had co-founded the Asia Investment and Financial Services Co., Ltd (AIFS) in 2006 with Mrs. Kingphongeun Phoummasack, his sister in Law. Mr. Pheutsapha, has been a key person of the Group that drives AIF expanding into Energy, Property Development and Construction businesses, he has also helped AIF Group to team up with many highly regard business partners all around the region. Because of his dedicated, hard work and talented, AIF Energy and Utility Unit, has secured the right to develop more than 2,000 MW of energy generation in Laos, which makes AIF Energy and Utility Unit to be one of the largest local energy developer s in Laos. Mr. Pheutsapha also helped AIF Group to secure many significant property development projects in many prime areas of Vientiane, he is also a key person to drive the AIF Construction Unit to secure many important construction projects including the roads, buildings, and energy facilities. Mr. Pheutsapha was a Singaporean Government Scholarship recipient, graduated with Bachelor of Business Marketing from National University of Singapore.

Mr. Rutsaran Moonsan - VP

Mr. Rutsaran Moonsan , is Vice President of AIF Group in charge of Precious Metal Trading , General Trading, Food and Beverage Subsidiaries of the Group. Mr. Rutsaran holds a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Industry from Kasetsart University, Thailand along with a Master Degree in International Business from University of Greenwich, London with Second Class honor. Prior to joining AIF Group, Rutsaran has more than 8 years working experiences in Trading and Banking. During his time in the Bank, he had been assigned as a Relationship Manager for number of important clients of the Bank with the accumulated account transaction valued of more than THB1 Billion, and was able to double the account transaction values within a year. After that, Mr. Rutsaran jointed YLG Bullion International, and was assigned to set up the Singapore Branch of the Company, and recruit new international clients. With his talents in communication and trading skills, he had contributed in assisting YLG to be the largest Bullion Trading company in Thailand. When Joining AIF Group, Mr. Rutsaran has helped to develop AIF Gold Trading to be the largest and only active Gold Importer in Laos. He has also helped in setting up the Asia Loyal to be a successful distributor of many specialize and construction vehicles and equipment. In supporting the Property Development Business of the Group, he has initiated and setting up the food and beverage business subsidiaries for the AIF Group.

Mr. Vichit Xindavong - SVP

Mr. Vichit Xindavong , is Senior Vice President of the AIF Group. He studied Chinese Literature and history in Peking University, the People's Republic of China, and undertook a number of short term and long term course in various countries including Australia and the United States. Mr. Vichit, a fluent Chinese speaker, joined Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1980, and through his diplomatic career, he became Director General of Asia, Pacific and Africa Department, Lao Ambassador to Australia and Lao Ambassador to People's Republic of China, and finally became the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs before he was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Lao - China Cooperation Commission in 2012. During his diplomatic career, he was posted to China for more than 13 years, which he have acquired a deep Knowledge on China, and had also built the good relations with many senior officers and leaders of China as well as a number Chinese Enterprises. As Permanent Secretary of Ministry Foreign Affairs, with a good understanding on the international affairs, he had played a part in broaden the cooperation between Laos and the International communities through his close working relationship with senior officers of the partner countries, particularly of the ASEAN's member countries. As a Vice Chairman of the Lao - China Cooperation Commission, he has involved in promoting and dialogued with many Chinese Enterprises, and resulted in the investment in Laos with the combined investment value of more than 10 billion USD from 2012 to 2018 by the Chinese Enterprises, he was also assigned on many committees to work with the Chinese delegations for many important projects in Laos including the 6 USD billion Lao - China railway project. Mr. Vichit retired from the public services at the end of 2018 and joint the AIF Group in the beginning of 2019.

Mrs. Kingphongeun Phoummasack - President

Mrs. Kingphongeun Phoummasack is President of the AIF Group. After working in various positions with Fa Watthana Co., Ltd., a company established by Phoummasack Family since 1991, and observing the rapid growth of the Lao Economy after 2000, the policies of the Government to develop infrastructures and promote the Foreign Direct Investment in the resource sector, she had co-founded the Asia Investment and Financial Services Co., Ltd (AIFS) , a first company of the Group in 2006. In the following years, she had expanded AIFS business activities to include Property Developments, Energy and Utilities Development, Construction, Precious metals Trading, Specialized Vehicles and Constructions Material supplies. In 2015, she has led AIF to complete the acquisition of International Commercial Bank (Lao), the Best Retailing Bank in Laos, into the Group, and entered into the partnership agreement to provide Telecom and Technology Services with Lao Sky Telecom State Enterprise and Lao Electricity Company (EdL). With her business vision and deep understanding of Lao business knowledge, she was able to form a strong cooperation with many highly regarded companies of the region, and has steered AIF group to be one of the biggest group of companies in Laos. Mrs. Kingphongeun was raised in a diplomatic family, and had spent her childhood and college life in Indonesia, Australia, Germany and USA, she has completed a Bachelor of Arts and Master of International Economic and Finance from the Lao National University.
