ARCTIC - Key Persons
Mr. Bakken joined Arctic Offshore in 2022, after having spent almost three years in the underwriting department at Norwegian Hull Club. He graduated with a BBA degree from BI Bergen in 2019 and has previous experience working offshore on both PSVs and AHTS, as well as internships with Arctic Offshore and in the chartering department of a well-known Norwegian OSV company. He is supporting chartering, project development and S&P projects globally.
Alexander joined Arctic Securities in October 2019. He previously worked for ABG Sundal Collier (2017-2019) and SEB (2011-2017). He has worked with credit his entire career.
Alexander holds an MSC in Business and Economics from BI Norwegian Business School and a BSc in Finance from the same institution.
Mr. Pappos worked for Arctic Offshore throughout his studies, and permanently joined Arctic Offshore in 2007 after graduating from Copenhagen Business School with a Bsc in Economics & Business Administration. A part of his degree he undertook at Athens University of Economics and Business. He became partner in Arctic Offshore in 2009 and has since 2013 been heading the office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is currently dividing his time between Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro.
Mr. Pappos focus on OSVs and specialized vessels with particular attention to the Latin American markets and has a substantial track record from various type of transactions such as M&A, fleet sales and financially linked projects to S&P and term chartering of single assets.
With more than 30 years of experience from the insurance industry working for large and global brokers the opportunity came across to establish a specialized broker for clients that require customized solution. To create teams with high skills and passion to provide individual solutions to each client has been an important goal for Arctic Insurance. In a rapid changing world, the need and demand for a specialized broker has become more and more important and we are therefore very satisfied that we have an increasing number of large and complex clients. Our business model is to be partnering up with clients and insurance providers to define predictability and long-term trustworthy solutions.
Mr. Høsøien joined Arctic Offshore in 2012, after having graduated from NTNU in Trondheim with a M.Sc in Industrial Economics and Technology Management (Indøk). Amund became partner in Arctic Offshore in 2017 and is focusing on worldwide chartering and project development, and has his core expertise within Subsea and Renewables where he coordinates the company's efforts, as well as on PSVs and AHTS.
Lægreid holds a master degree in Finance from Handelhøyskolen BI and a MBA from Loyola Marymount University. For several years he had different executive positions at Sparebanken NOR, Gjensidige NOR and DNB. He is Board Member of Obos-banken AS, Nille Holding AS, Morrow Batteries AS and Skandinaviske Handelsparker AS. Lægreid is the CEO at NOAH AS.
Anders joined Arctic Shipping in January 2023 after 3 years as Sale and Purchase broker in Lorentzen & Stemoco. He has previously worked in the French container carrier CMA CGM in Oslo and Marseille. Holds a MSc in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School (CBS).
Mr. Størksen joined Arctic Offshore (Nor-Ocean Offshore) in 2016. He has more than a decade of experience from offshore rig brokerage and advisory from Pareto Offshore AS. Mr. Størksens core areas of expertise is the Sale and Purchase market; Jack Ups and Floaters, where he has an extensive track record and also the New Building advisory where he has advised numerous clients on New Build contracts.
Anders Størksen has acted as adviser to many investment firms and established drilling companies seeking advise on the offshore rig sector, often in connection with debt restructurings, M&A opportunities and Sale & Leaseback arrangements. Mr. Størksen holds a masters degree in Law from the University in Bergen and from Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law in Oslo.
Mr. Elton joined Arctic Offshore (Nor-Ocean Offshore) in 2016 to lead the rig group. Mr. Elton holds a Bsc in Finance and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and has more than 15 years of experience within rig brokerage and investment banking, including 5 years based out of Houston. The main focus during the past decade has been on large, well established drillers in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil in addition to Asian shipyards.
Anna was previously CEO and co-founder of Nordic Fixed Income AB (2011-2015). She was head of Fixed Income at E. Öhman Fondkommission and has experience from Investment Management (2000-2005) and Corporate Finance (1997-2000). She holds a MS from Stockholm School of Economics.
I joined Arctic Insurance AS in the beginning of January 2022 after having worked in the insurance market for more than 20 years. I first started in the insurance industry in 1998. The first 5 years was with an Insurance Agency and the last 18 years with a major Insurance Broker, whereof 3 years in London. During these years I have worked within various market segments, from small/mid-market to large industrial and international clients. I have gained knowledge and experience within several lines of insurance. In 2003 I was authorized as an Insurance Advisor, and in 2004 as an Insurance Broker by BI Norwegian Business School.
Sletteberg holds a degree in business administration from NHH as well as an advanced degree in international economic policy research from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Germany. In the period 1995-2002, he worked as chief investment officer and investment director at Storebrand Asset Management. Sletteberg was CFO at Oslo Pensjonsforsikring AS from 2003 until 2006, and Executive Vice President of Ferd AS from 2006 to 2013.
More than 20 years shipbroking experience starting at R.S. Platou Shipbrokers followed by 10 years at RS Platou Asia in Singapore focusing on the Asian market. Arvid moved back to Norway in 2012 and continued his role as Senior Partner with RS Platou Group and thereafter Director in Clarksons Platou.
Sundet holds a law degree from the University of Oslo in 1992. She received her licence to practice law in 1997. Sundet has specialized in competition law and has worked for the Ministry of Labour and Government Administration from 1992 to 1995 and the EU-commission, Merger Task Force in 1994. Furthermore, Sundet worked as deputy judge at Ringerrike Sorenskriverembete from 1995 to 1997. Sundet has been with BA-HR since 1997 and became partner in 2001.

Christian has more than 23 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He worked with RS Platou AS Group for about 20 years - in the Offshore Department in Oslo and transferred to Singapore where he is responsible for R.S. Platou (Asia) Pte Ltd from 2000 to 2017. Thereafter, Christian worked for Seatankers Singapore as a company representative for 2 years. Christian holds a Master's Degree in Business Organisation from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
Christian was previously the Head of Section at Finanstilsynet (2016-2021) for the supervision of financial reporting and prospectuses. Prior to that he was Department Head of Analyses and Investigations at the Market Surveillance department at Oslo Børs (1999-2016). Christian holds an MSc in Business and Economics from the BI Norwegian Business School.

I joined Arctic Insurance in October 2019 and I have worked with insurance & pension since 1987. I started working as a broker in 1999.
I have more than 25 years of experience from the insurance industry including being an attorney dealing with liability insurance claims. I have a profound understanding of how risk can be assessed and mitigated. Advice on liability insurance products, such as Financial Lines, has been a main responsibility since my start as an insurance broker in 2008, and is part of my work at Arctic Insurance.
Erik has more than 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He worked with RS Platou AS Group for about 15-20 years - in the Offshore Department in Oslo and was later transferred to R.S. Platou (Asia) Pte Ltd in Singapore from 2008 to 2017. He joined Pacific Ocean Partners/Arctic Asia Shipping Pte Ltd in January 2020. Erik graduated from Alesund Maritime School in 1998. He is a Master Mariner.
Fabian Harmstorf Arctic Shipping, Hamburg Fabian joined Arctic Shipping in August 2023 with 17 years of experience as an S&P broker. He began his career in 2005 with Simpson Spence Young (SSY) in London and working Mideast and Indian markets. In 2007 he was appointed to the SSY New York office with a focus on drybulk markets. 2016 he moved to Hamburg and joined Barry Rogliano Salles (BRS), becoming Partner in 2019. Hege previously worked at Storebrand Investment Management (1998-2008) with compliance and risk control, product development and as a credit analyst. Prior to this she worked with treasury management.

Hiroyuki C. jeanette joined Arctic Insurance in May 2023 after more than 25 years in the insurance market. In 2001 she started her first position as an Insurance Broker, being involved in various market segments such as small/mid-market, large industrial as well as international. Jimmie has 20 years of experience in the Marine Offshore Oil and Gas industry. Jimmie began his foray into the industry when he joined EMAS Group as a Graduate Management Trainee / Marketing Executive from 2003 to 2006 He established Pacific Ocean Partners Pte Ltd in 2017, now known as Arctic Asia Shipping Pte Ltd Prior to this, Jimmie was Partner / Offshore broker at R.S. Platou (Asia) Pte Ltd / Clarksons Asia Singapore Pte Ltd for 11 years. He holds a degree in Public Relations, Advertising and Applied Communication. Jimmie has also served as President of Marine Offshore Oil & Gas Association (MOOGAS) from 2018-2020. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
After graduating with a MA (BA Hons.) in Business Studies from The University of Edinburgh, Mr. Lerche joined Arctic Offshore in 2005 and he became partner in the company in 2009. Mr. Lerche set up and headed the office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 2011 to 2013 before becoming Managing Partner of the company in 2015. Mr. Lerche has a substantial track record from working on successful transactions within S&P, newbuildings and chartering worldwide.
Mr. Lerche oversees the company's operations and has his primary focus on OSVs and Specialized Vessels with particular attention to the Latin American market as well as transactions with a financial angle.

Hansen holds a degree in business administration from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration. In 1970, he joined the Research Institute for the Pulp & Paper Industry, and held a series of posts in Jiffy from 1973 to 1983. He served as General Manager in Bergen Bank/Den norske Bank from 1985 to 1994. He then served as Managing Director in Orkla Finans. From 2000 he worked for Statoil ASA as CFO and Executive Vice President and in 2003 as acting CEO.
In 2004 Mr. Hansen was appointed CEO of Aker Kvaerner ASA. He was advisor to Aker ASA from 2006 to 2008. He served as advisor to Scatec AS from 2008 to 2012 and as independent advisor from 2012. Hansen has a long history of board memberships, as a member and as chairman. Hansen was awarded "The Chair of the Year" for 2012, both in Norway and in the Nordic region.
Kjetil is a University College Graduate in Computer Science from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, and has been a part of Arctic Securities' Technology department since 2007.
Kjetil was appointed Co-Head of IT in 2015, and joined Arctic Securities' management team as Chief Technology Officer in 2018.
Kjetil joined Arctic in 2007. He previously worked as Associate Director in UBS Corporate Finance, London, focusing on Nordic financial institutions (2005-2007) and as an Analyst in Corporate Finance with Deutsche Bank in London (2002-2005). Started his career at Lorentzen & Stemoco in 1999, before moving to Asia in 2003 where he worked as S&P/newbuilding broker in Shanghai and Bangkok for the next 6 years with L&S, Fearnleys and RS Platou. Returned to Oslo in 2009 where he joined Pareto Shipping, later renamed BRS Oslo AS. Main focus is to follow up shipyards in Asia. Ludvig joined Arctic Offshore in August 2018. He has experience from KWC AS where he provided financial modelling, market and competitor analysis, and company valuations (2016-2018). He holds a MSc in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School.
Mads previously worked within HR at Norges Bank / Norges Bank Investment Management from 2009 to 2021, and his last position was as Head of People and Organisational Development across the the Central Bank and NBIM organizations. Prior to this he worked in HR roles at Microsoft and Tandberg, and before that as a consultant within executive search and management consulting. Mads holds a Master in Business and Economics (siviløkonom) from BI Norwegian Business School.
Mads was previously CEO in SEB Enskilda (2000-2007), in addition to being Country Manager for SEB in Norway (2004-2007).
Prior to that he worked with Orkla Finans/Enskilda Securities, holding senior positions within equities and corporate finance (1987-2000) and with Den norske Creditbank as a broker (1982-1986).
Mr. Kristiansen joined Arctic Offshore in 2023. He holds a Master of International Business from Queensland University of Technology. Mr. Kristiansen previously worked for Lorentzen & Stemoco. He has a primary focus on S&P and the MENA region.
Mr. Fjeldstad joined Arctic Offshore in 1997 after graduating with a degree in business and finance from North Eastern University in Boston. Mr. Fjeldstad became a partner in Arctic Offshore in 2001 and he has over the years established a particularly strong position in the Mexican market. Mr. Fjeldstad focuses on specialized vessels/assets and projects and coordinates the company`s efforts towards the Mexican Market where he has an unrivalled track record.
Mr. Fjeldstad has advised Clients on several complex major transactions for both Newbuildings, S&P and chartering.

Martin joined Arctic Shipping on August 9th 2021. He graduated in 2021 from Cass Business School with an MSC in Shipping, Trade and Finance and has previously completed his bachelor degree at BI.
Mæland holds a cand.oecon from 1977 in mathematics and information technology from the University of Oslo. From 1983 to 2015 he served as Chief Executive at OBOS BBL. Mæland is a member of numerous boards, mainly within real estate.
Mrs. Dalsbø joined Arctic Offshore (Nor-Ocean Offshore) in August 2008 and is today in charge of the office administration. Mrs Dalsbø has varied background from the hotel and service industry.

Mr. Wagner-Larsen joined Nor-Ocean 2015 and comes with a broad network within the oil and offshore industry. He has prior work experience from UNO Offshore, Lorentzen & Stemoco, and Schlumberger in Houston. The main focus will be to continue working close with the various players in the rig market and shipyards in Asia. Mr. Wagner-Larsen has a MSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from NTNU in Norway.
Niclas Karan Arctic Shipping, Hamburg Niclas joined Arctic Shipping in July 2023. He has over one decade of experience in shipbroking and shipowning. Having started his career at Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG, where he joined the S&P Team in 2016. More than 20 years experience with shipbroking starting as Sale and Purchase broker with RS Platou ASA as Senior Partner and Director following the merger with Clarksons. Prior to joining Arctic Shipping A/S he was a Partner in Lynx Maritime Partners A/S, a ship investment management company in Oslo. Nicolai studied Maritime Law and Shipping Operations at the University of Oslo and Solent University, respectively.
Mr. Garschagen joined Arctic Offshore in 2018. He holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc. in Management from Northeastern University in Boston. Mr. Garschagen has more than 8 years of experience in the Offshore and Oil industry, having worked with different players across the world, including for DNV and a major drilling contractor. His main focus is on the Latin American markets. Nicolas is based out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Nora joined Arctic Insurance in April 2023, after working for Nasdaq with futures and forward contracts in the power market. Before that she worked with pension for The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway. Her interests in mathematics and science combined with a background from finance and sales will be beneficial for the work with insurance advisory at Arctic. She holds a degree in Economics from BI Norwegian Business School.
More than two decades of shipbroking experience, staring his career with P.F Bassøe Shipbrokers in 1997, followed in 2004 with Odin Marine in Connecticut, USA where he spent 5 years prior to returning to Norway and Pareto. Has also worked for a year as Director of Sale and Purchase, Newbuildings and projects with Seatankers Management in Oslo. Robert joined Arctic Securities in April 2019. He previously worked as Head of International & Nordic Credit Sales at Nordea Markets. Robert holds a MSc in Finance from BI Norwegian Business School.
Runar joined Arctic Securities in 2017. He has experience as a broker from Fokus Fonds (1993-94), Christiania Fonds (1994-96) and Elcon Securities/First Securities/Swedbank (1996-2014).
Runar was co-founder of First Securities in 1999 and Head of Sales for 6 years. Runar was also Head of Sales, Norway in Nordea Markets (2014-17). He has an MBA in Finance from NHH.
Sindre has 15+ years of experience within corporate communications. He specializes in strategic communication, corporate messaging, and PR. Prior to joining Arctic, Sindre worked 3 years as Head of Communications in SpareBank 1 Forvaltning and ODIN. He holds a Master in Media Studies from the University of Oslo.
Stian joined Arctic Securities in 2010. Stian holds an MSc from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH), specialising in finance with a minor from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Mr. Hansen joined Arctic Offshore in 2019. He holds a MSc in Marine Engineering from NTNU in Norway. Mr. Hansen has more than 10 years of experience in the Offshore and Oil industry from Subsea 7 and Seabrokers. Mr. Hansen has substantial operational experience from offshore construction campaigns. His current primary focus is on the Renewables and Subsea markets and he is based out of Stavanger, Norway.

Mr. Strande joined Arctic Offshore in 2017. He holds a BSc. in Nautical Science and an MSc. in Maritime Management from the University of South-Eastern Norway. Mr. Strande has more than 9 years experience from working on offshore vessels in the North Sea and holds a Master Mariner certificate. Today Mr. Strande is focusing on worldwide S&P, Newbuildings and Projects and is coordinating the team's effort within S&P and Newbuilding.
