DAN LONGTIN

As Automation Manager at CDN Controls Ltd., Dan holds a Computer Systems Technology Diploma. Prior to joining the CDN team, Dan spent over 20 years as a communications technician and automation specialist with companies such as Conoco Phillips and Taqa North. Throughout his career, Dan has attained an exceptional knowledge and understanding of his field. Having built new SCADA networks, programmed oil and gas facilities, and managed significant automation projects, Dan is an essential asset to CDN's operations. While knowledgeable about his field, Dan is also passionate about business growth and new opportunities. His continual focus on technological advancements has helped to keep CDN at the cutting-edge of oil and gas automation. This mindset, together with building strong customer relationships, has played a significant role in the overall success of CDN Controls.

DAVID GILLETT - CFO

David has an impressive background in finance, with the vast majority of his experience in the oilfield services industry. Prior to joining CDN Controls, David led the Finance team at Ironline Compression. His focus there was to build and develop a new finance team and to optimize and facilitate internal controls. As a CPA, David has spent time working in Canada and the United States as well as for some Private Equity groups and individuals. David joined CDN in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer. Utilizing his prior insight and knowledge in finance and business development, David works closely with every team at CDN. Providing insight, analysis, and business reporting, David has played an essential role in the success of CDN, as he continues to ensure better decision-making and continual business growth.

DEAN FRASER - CEO, President

Dean's career in oil and gas began in the late 90s. His expertise has since expanded after co-founding CDN Controls Ltd in 2011. Dean is a Journeyman Instrument Technician with his Interprovincial Red Seal; with experience in both the production and service sectors of the industry, Dean's approach to business is well-rounded, productive, and objective. Since the launch of CDN, Dean has been an integral part of its growth. As the company has expanded, Dean's role has evolved from managing day-to-day operations to overseeing health, safety and environment, finance, business development, strategic planning, and the continual growth of the company. Through his leadership, dedication to safety, industry knowledge, and with the support of an expert management team, Dean's role will be integral to the ongoing growth, expansion, and success of CDN.

Erich Mintzler

As an electrician with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Erich is well equipped to handle the challenges and opportunities facing CDN today. Erich received his Journeyman ticket in 2008, and, prior to joining CDN Controls, he worked as a Construction Superintendent for projects in Western Canada. In 2017, Erich joined the CDN team, assisting with various projects in the field. He quickly transitioned to the office-based role of Construction Manager, was promoted to Director, Major Projects in July 2018, and VP, Major Projects on October 2021. Throughout his time with CDN and as a vital leader in the organization, Erich is known for getting things done. Drawing from his decades of experience, Erich continues to help CDN grow, evolve and meet the needs of our clients.

JAMIE SAUNDERS

Jamie began his engineering career as a Controls Systems Designer. After a couple of years in the industry, he was exposed to Automation, and he instantly switched careers. Jamie has over a decade of experience as an automation specialist, designing, building, and maintaining several large SCADA/PLC/DCS and HMI systems for customers throughout Alberta and BC. Jamie joined the CDN team in 2013. Shortly after his arrival at the company, Jamie became the Automations Manager, creating a well-versed and respected automation department in a division that didn't previously exist. In the late fall of 2013, he was promoted to General Manager of CDN Controls. In this role, Jamie enjoys the opportunity to work more with staff, clients, and CDN's other branches. His experience and efficient leadership are essential to CDN's success.

JOE GRUBIC

Prior to joining CDN Controls, Joe spent 17 years with one of the largest global manufacturers of telecommunication equipment in various executive management roles. Joe also worked as an independent business consultant, providing management support to various organizations within the oil & gas, financial services, and telecommunication industries within the areas of procurement, supply chain, information technology, and mergers and acquisitions support. In addition to his extensive experience, Joe's credentials include a degree in Economics and a post-graduate diploma in International Business. Joe has been with CDN Controls since 2015 as the Director of Business Process Management, and is responsible for corporate and operational business processes, tools, and systems. He is driven by a passion for driving continuous improvement within business processes and working to build high performing teams.

KYLE STEWART

Before entering the workforce, Kyle spent time serving in the Canadian military. After graduating from university and before becoming part of the CDN team, Kyle spent 5 years at a mechanical company in Grande Prairie, specializing in HSE and procurement, where he received the NCSO designation for safety. This experience prepared him to become CDN's first HSE manager, during which time he was influential in helping CDN obtain its first-ever COR certification. In 2014, after 2 years in the Health and Safety program, Kyle became the Procurement Manager and spent 5 years building the program. In November 2019, Kyle was promoted to Director of Supply Chain, where he now oversees all materials, supply, vendor negotiations, and more. Kyle has played an integral role in building CDN's internal operations and continues to be an invaluable team member.

Mike Lyster - COO

For more than 20 years, Mike has been demonstrating his leadership in the Instrumentation space. He earned his Instrumentation Red Seal-Journeyman Ticket from SAIT in 2006 and worked in small and large-scale corporations for 15 years before founding Inphase Electric and Controls, in Brooks Alberta, in 2014. Inphase exceeded all expectations, credited to a dedicated and driven team, a commitment to strong customer relationships, and the consistent delivery of great services. With the merger of Inphase and CDN in fall 2021, Mike assumes the role of Director of Operations for Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan. In this capacity, he leads his former Inphase team-alongside new CDN faces-to continue CDN's pursuit to be recognized as an industry leader. Mike is known as a quintessential people person driven by dedication. He's committed to project success regardless of the scale, size, or scope.

NICK STEWART - SVP

Having been involved in the oil and gas industry since 2001, Nick is one of the founders of CDN Controls Ltd. Nick is an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Electrician and a Master Electrician in Alberta. As both a Field Safety Representative in British Columbia and an Electrical Safety Codes Officer Group A in Alberta, Nick helps to ensure adherence to all safety standards. Shifting from his role as overall Operations Manager, Nick now oversees CDN's Major Projects division, Estimating, and Project Controls, all of which have grown exponentially under his leadership. Dividing his time between Grande Prairie and the Calgary office, Nick maintains a hands-on approach with customers and his team. Through his commitment to safety, client-focused approach, and dedicated management, CDN continues to expand.

SUSAN BORROWS CPHR

Over Susan's 20+ year career in Human Resources, she has held progressively more responsible roles across various sectors; retail, energy, and financial services. As an executive leader, she has led several functions influencing change, transforming cultures and championing business success through people engagement. More recently, as a consultant, her thought leadership and services enabled organizational effectiveness and business success for several organizations. At CDN Controls, she is accountable for the strategy and oversight for both the People & Culture and Health & Safety teams ensuring these areas are aligned and positioned to support the company's growth strategy. A transformational leader with a passion for all things people, Susan prides herself on building collaborative teams that implement innovative programs that make a difference to the business and employees' lives.
