Chaldon Herring sits in a valley but boasts some of the loveliest views in the county as well as interesting features like the five Marys bronze age barrows and Chaldon hill, one of the highest in the county. The church dates from the 1400s. It is a walkers' paradise - through the valley to Durdle Door and along the Jurassic coast in any direction, a mere four miles away. For families, there is a variety of beaches to explore whilst at home there is a playing field opposite the cottages and a country pub a short stroll away with outside seating... Damers holiday cottage is set in the quiet vilage of East Chaldon or Chaldon Herring as it is also known. Only 4 miles from Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove set in the Jurrasic coast heritage site. Holiday cottage sleeps 5 good for walking the Jurrasic coast foottpath.
