John was raised in the Rideau Lakes area, and as a teenager started working with his father (Ray Riley Construction) before becoming a lead carpenter in the carpenters union. John worked in both commercial and residential construction. John recognized the need for high quality construction, good customer service, honesty and innovative concepts, and so Riley Construction Inc. was founded.
