Kevin M. Craig is the Founder and CEO of Shield32 Security Consulting, LLC. He is a recognized subject matter expert in law enforcement, management, and school security. A retired New Jersey Police Chief, he has nearly 30 years of experience in public safety, emergency management, and school security. He is a NJ Certified Public Manager (CPM), NJ Certified Safe School Resource Officer, NJDOE Certified School Safety Specialist, Active Shooter Response Instructor, De-escalation Instructor, Behavioral Threat Assessment Trainer, and Accredited Chief Executive-Chief of Police (ACE-COP) and NJ Licensed Private Detective. In addition to his vast law enforcement and school safety credentials, Chief Craig has many years of experience as a certified police instructor, NJDOE Certified Teacher of Law Enforcement (CE), college adjunct professor, and high school educator. His experience and training also includes School Safety/Climate HIB Team, truancy and residency investigations, and school climate initiatives. He currently serves as the Director of Safety and Security and Certified Anti-bullying Specialist for a NJ public high school. Chief Craig holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a specialization in School Security and Safety Administration. He has represented the NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police on the NJ K-12 Task Force in conjunction with the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness and was appointed to the NJ School Security Task Force by the Governor of NJ as a subject matter expert. Chief Craig is a current member of the ASIS International School Safety and Security Council and the NJ Association of School Resource Officers Advisory Board and NJASRO Senior Instructor. Chief Craig was appointed as the Vice Chair of the Morris County Responsible School Violence Prevention (RSVP) Policy Development Working Group and serves as an instructor for the NJ School Safety Specialist Academy in conjunction with the NJDOE Office of School Preparedness and Emergency Planning. He is regularly consulted by the media for expert commentary on law enforcement and school security issues.
