Barbara Moynihan, Founder of On Your Feet, has been involved in training since the mid 90's. She has studied in a variety of areas the most recent of which was "The Psychology of Interpersonal Communications". She specializes in presentation and pitching skills which she delivers to a wide range of corporate, SME and individual clients.
As a consultant to an International Training organisation she has had the opportunity to deliver training in Belgium and Holland. She is a firm believer that we learn best by "doing" and as a result all of her programmes are highly participatory.
Barbara also regularly performs the role of Master of Ceremonies (MC). Recent events include the Small Firms Association (SFA) Annual Lunch, with over 600 in attendance, the International Women's Day Event organised by Dublin Chamber and Enterprise Boards and the Envirocom Awards.
Dr. William Sheehan is the Director and Chief Academic Director of The Learning Resort. He is one of Ireland's leading military historians, he is the author and editor over eight books, including British Voices from the Irish War of Independence (2005), Fighting for Dublin (2007), Hearts and Mines: The British 5 th Division, Ireland, 1920-22, (2008), A Hard Local War: The British Army and the Guerrilla War in Cork (2011) and The Western Front: Irish Voices from the Great War (2011). He is currently writing a military history of the Irish Revolutionary Period (1916-1923) for Ireland's largest publisher, Gill and MacMillian, the book will be called The Battle of Ireland: 1916-1923.
Dr. Sheehan is a graduate of University College Cork, the Open University and the University of Limerick. He has taught at Griffith College Cork, NUI Maynooth, University College Cork, and the Open University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and the Higher Education Academy. His last role before joining The Learning Resort team was as a Senior Faculty Manager at the Open University.
Dr. Sheehan's role at The Learning Resort is to bring the most interesting and creative national and international speakers to Killarney to create world class education experiences for all those who attend the resort's courses.
Marc Thornton is an award winning author, marketer, trainer and motivator. Managing director of DTA Marketing, a well-established marketing and training consultancy in Dublin, Marcs career prior to joining DTA Marketing twenty years ago included senior marketing positions with Superquinn, Securicor, Deloitte and AIB.
He is a member and Graduate (Grad MMII) of the Marketing Institute of Ireland (formally vice chairman) and is an elected Fellow (FIHI) and former council member of the Irish Hospitality Institute. He regularly gives seminars on marketing, selling and customer care.
Marc has assisted over 400 companies with their marketing and staff development and he addresses over 2,000 people annually at conferences and workshops.
He is a leading marketing, sales and customer care trainer in the hospitality market and has trained the team that won the All Ireland Marketing award for Customer Care, KDD Distribution, as well as delivered award winning customer care programmes for Seven Oaks Hotel Carlow in 2005 / 06 / 07/ 08 /10/ 12 and recently his client O'Hanrahan Travel won 2012 ITAA Travel Agent of the Year.
Marc has written many articles for business publications such as the Sunday Business Post, Business Plus, and Sunday Tribune and has published a book on marketing and customer care called - "Winning Lifetime Customers".
