THE KENYAN CHILD

The Kenyan Child Foundation was established with the view to promoting access to free quality primary schooling for the children of Kenya. We want to make a difference to the lives of these children by building schools and fostering community involvement among those most disadvantaged in the Kenya... Our main aim is to ensure access to quality education for the poorest and most marginalised people in the region. However, access simply does not suffice. Once in school, children need to be in an environment that empowers them to realise their potential. As a minimum standard, we believe that a successful basic education must result in functional levels of literacy and numeracy. This enables people to lift themselves out of poverty and independently improve their lives.
