Jo Riina

Jo Riina is the True North Executive Assistant to Pat McDonough. Jo is a 30-year veteran from PepsiCo, from which she recently retired in 2018. Jo spent most of her PepsiCo career within Financial Reporting where she held various positions from Controller of Fixed Assets to Control and Compliance Director of Pepsi Beverages. As the Director of Control and Compliance, Jo led a team of ten where the focus was to ensure Plant and Manufacturing Location Leaders throughout the United States were operating within company policies and in compliance with specific local and state regulations. On a personal side, Jo enjoys cooking and is active in her community, volunteering weekly at an assisted living facility engaging dementia residents in daily fun activities.

Kyle Scheetz - VP

Kyle is a VP at True North, joining the firm in 2020. Kyle began his career as an investment banking analyst in the Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure Group at Deutsche Bank. During his time at DB, Kyle worked on various transactions, from M&A advisory assignments to debt and equity financings. Most notably, he worked to advise VICI Properties on the multi-billion dollar acquisition and financing of real estate assets resulting from the combination of Eldorado Resorts and Caesars Entertainment. Kyle graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania's College of Arts & Sciences, where he majored in Economics, was a Dean's List recipient, and played four years of Varsity Lacrosse.

Pat McDonough - Founder

Pat McDonough is a founder of True North. Pat has been an investment banker since 1987. Prior to founding True North, Pat was a Vice Chairman of Global Investment Banking and Managing Director for Bank of America Merrill Lynch for over 10 years. Prior to that, Pat spent over 18 years at Morgan Stanley, where he was elected to Managing Director in 1997 and rose to head the Global Basic Materials Group. Pat has spent most of his career working on many important and innovative transactions in the basic materials space, including the packaging, forest products, mining, building materials, chemicals and automotive industries. Pat received his MBA at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Pat served four years active duty and two years active reserves (while in business school) in the United States Navy serving as a gunnery officer, navigator, and admiral's aide. Pat earned two Navy Achievement Medals. Pat received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia where he attended on a NROTC Scholarship and is a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. He is the Chairman of Excellent Schools New Mexico, a non-profit seeking to change educational outcomes for New Mexico's neediest children.

Rishad Karim

Rishad is an Associate at True North, joining the firm in 2023. Rishad began his career as an investment banking analyst at GLC Advisors. During his time at GLC, Rishad worked on various transactions, ranging from restructuring and M&A advisory assignments to debt and equity financings. Most notably, he worked to advise Stimwave Technologies on its 363 bankruptcy sale to Kennedy Lewis. Previously, he interned in the Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging group at Goldman Sachs and the Leveraged Finance group at Deutsche Bank. Prior to joining True North, Rishad worked in the Finance & Strategy division at Hungryroot, a high-growth AI-based meal kit delivery startup. Rishad graduated Cum Laude from Williams College, where he majored in Mathematics and Economics.

Tony Allott

For the past 16 years, Tony has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Silgan Holdings Inc. a NASDAQ traded global manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging and dispensing solutions, where he remains as the Company Executive Chairman. During his tenure as the CEO of Silgan, the Company completed 20 acquisitions, significantly diversifying its businesses and becoming a global market leader. As the individual responsible for setting strategic direction, making the final decisions and promoting those actions to Boards and investors, Tony offers a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities of major business transactions. His experience in merging teams, integrating acquisitions and witnessing both successes and failures, provides him with a unique perspective and insight. Tony joined Silgan in 2002 as its Chief Financial Officer and also served as its Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Silgan, Tony served for nearly a decade as the Chief Financial Officer of Applied Extrusion Technologies, Inc. a manufacturer of flexible packaging, joining the Company as they completed an acquisition quintupling the size of the Company. Tony started his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte. Tony is a graduate of The Questrom School of Business at Boston University, where he also serves on its Advisory Board. Tony served as a Director of the National Chamber of Commerce and currently focuses his spare time on education as a Director of Adam J Lewis Academy, an independent school for underserved children in Bridgeport, CT and as the Vice Chairman of Soundwaters, a Connecticut based organization that teaches science, life skills and the importance of our environment to area children.
