As an attorney, Arnold recognizes how individuals and companies can be put in difficult situations when both small and major issues arise. As a litigator, he is dedicated to successfully representing his clients' needs, no matter the size or complexity. In his practice, Arnold focuses mainly in the areas of insurance defense litigation, domestic relations, probate, and personal injury. He has significant experience representing individuals and corporations in all matters relating to insurance claims, insurance coverage, employer/employee liability, transportation liability, construction liability, and all other matters involving insurance policies and claims.
Arnold joined W&S in January 2018 after practicing law in the areas of civil litigation, criminal defense and domestic relations in Cincinnati, Ohio. His current practice includes civil defense litigation with a particular focus in defending insurance companies and their insureds in personal injury, transportation, and premises liability claims, handling probate matters, domestic relations issues, including divorce, dissolution, and child custody, as well as drafting and successfully arguing post judgment motions. He also has experience representing injured individuals in personal injury matters.

As a life long resident of Ohio, John is an accomplished mediator and arbitrator and has received numerous awards throughout his career. He has participated in numerous multi-million dollar construction mediations and arbitrations.
John J. Petro, is a lifelong resident of Ohio, graduating from the Ohio State University with a BA degree in 1959 and from the College of Law, Ohio State University, in 1962.
He is a Founding Fellow of American College of Construction Lawyers. He was a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and Chairman of Fidelity, Surety and Public Contract Law Committee (1983-1984). John is currently a member of the Dispute Review Board Foundation, various Dispute Review Boards, and the Columbus, Ohio State, and American Bar Associations.
He also serves as a member of American Bar Association Section on Public Contract Law, the American Bar Association Forum Committee on the Construction Industry, the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Practice Section, and the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee, serving as Committee Vice Chairman (1976-1979, 1980-1982) and Committee Chairman (1979-1980).
John is an accomplished mediator and arbitrator and has received numerous awards throughout his career. He has participated in numerous multi-million dollar construction mediations and arbitrations. He has mediated cases for the Court of Common Pleas of Franklin County, Ohio; the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio; the Ohio Department of Transportation; and the State of Ohio, Department of Administrative Services. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association construction arbitration panel.
Josh is a Partner in the firm with considerable first chair trial experience. He has represented both insurance companies and individuals and argued cases before several Ohio Courts of Appeal.

Founding partner Richard Williams provides well-reasoned, resolution-oriented mediation and arbitration services to colleagues, the bench, and the bar. Richard founded Williams & Schoenberger (formerly Williams & Petro) in June 1998. He has participated and has been witness to the growth and success of the firm since its' inception. He takes pride in the work he does, as well as the work the team of attorneys, and support staff does in order to make Williams & Schoenberger prosper.
Richard has served as an Arbitrator and private Mediator at other counsel's request. Richard is a member of Ohio State Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, and the Council on Litigation Management. He serves as the Vice President of the Board of Trustees at the Jewish Community Center and is presently Vice President of the same Board of Trustees.
