Lynn commenced her nurse training in 1985 qualifying as a nurse in 1988. Worked in acute care in Medicine for over 27 years in a variety of roles becoming the Head of Nursing. It was working as a newly qualified nurse on a Respiratory Ward that Lynn developed a passion for Palliative and End of Life Care. This passion came from the period of late 80s and 90s where there was very little specialist services for people dying of conditions other than cancer and support for families. A side room for the dying patient and a cup of tea for the bereaved family was considered to be good end of life care. In 2013 Lynn started to work at St Andrews hospice in a number of roles across Adult and Children's units and became Director of Clinical Services in a joint post for Hospice and Care Plus Group supporting staff from both hospice and community.
Her current post is working as Deputy Chief Nurse for Care Plus Group retaining responsibility for the Palliative and End of Life Teams along with Specialist and Community Nursing along with working as one of the Clinical Leads for Humber and North Yorkshire along with Michelle M, Helen and Michelle R .

Marie has worked for the NHS for over 20 years with a clinical background in nursing. Prior to joining the Clinical Network, she worked in public health, medicines management, oncology research, in the NHSE National Palliative and End of Life Team for three years and as a commisioner of end of life services in Hull CCG and Doncaster CCG. In her current role as Network Manager within the Network she is part of the senior management team.
