David advises both employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, settlement agreements, whistleblowing, unlawful deduction of wages and breach of contract claims.
He regularly appears at Employment Tribunals in both Scotland and England as well as the Employment Appeal Tribunal in Edinburgh.
David also acts for pursuers and defenders in commercial litigation actions and advises clients at all stages of their claim, from pre-litigation to appearing throughout Scotland in the Sheriff Court.

Forbes is the firm's Head of Commercial Property. He has wide experience of commercial related business spanning a period of over 30 years, specifically in commercial property leasing, real estate development and investment work.
He is involved in many large land development projects and investment transactions throughout Scotland. Forbes has particular expertise in Commercial Real Estate Development, Real Estate Purchases and Sales for Investment and for Owner Occupation, Landlord and Tenant Work, Corporate Acquisitions and Disposals, Planning Work, Property Dispute Resolution and Real Estate Financing.
He has recently been involved in a number of Pension Company transactions and a number of large Sporting Estates in Scotland which included consideration of the various rights and obligations in connection with forestry land, small holdings and single farm subsidies.
Forbes also specialises in transactions involving licensed and leisure property and regularly advises Banks, Landlords and other Financial Institutions in relation to the taking of security over these types of properties.
