Alan Ferguson

Alan has over 25 years experience in Real Estate and Corporate Asset Restructuring. He joined the Chemical Bank Real Estate Finance team in New York as a graduate in 1990, returning to the UK in 1996 and earned a Masters Degree in Marketing with Finance. In 1998, he joined The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi in London, holding roles in Leveraged Finance Credit and Origination. In 2001, Alan joined the Leveraged Finance Team in the Restructuring Group at Royal Bank of Scotland Group ("RBS") and in 2008, he was appointed Managing Director, Head of Restructuring, Americas where he led a team of 150 restructuring professionals across 11 offices in North and South America managing an asset book of some $45 billion. In 2012 he returned to the Restructuring Division in London before joining RBS Williams and Glynn as Managing Director, Head of Corporate Business Change in 2013. With the creation of the RBS Capital Resolution Group in January 2014, Alan moved to the role of Head of Indirect Asset Management where he drove the disposal of a £3.4 Billion non-core real estate and corporate asset portfolio. In 2015 Alan left this position and in 2016 agreed to set up ACS with the rest of the team.

David Newsome

A chartered accountant, David joined Ernst & Young in the Isle of Man in 1995 and managed a significant client portfolio within the trust department of the firm. David developed an expertise in structuring, administration, property acquisition and property management. In 1998 David left Ernst & Young to return to Ireland and started working with Findlay MacAlpine acquiring UK commercial property for Irish investors and together they set up Ashbourne to acquire, manage and sell commercial property for Irish, European and Middle East investors. David has successfully managed the structuring, fundraising, administration, accounting and joint venture partnership and investor relationships of Ashbourne over the past 18 years.

Findlay MacAlpine

A chartered surveyor, Findlay began his property investment career in the mid 1980s with Standard Life before joining Conrad Ritblat (now Colliers International) in 1988 as investment director, where he was responsible for advising clients on commercial property investment opportunities throughout the UK. In 1998 Findlay moved to Mason Philips Chartered Surveyors to become equity partner, where he has been sourcing, acquiring and managing portfolios for Ashbourne, amongst other clients. With Ashbourne, Findlay acquired properties with long-term potential and successfully managed the process of increasing income and capital values by identifying and exploiting strategic management opportunities. With effect from June 2016, Findlay left Mason Philips to concentrate on Ashbourne with David.

Richard Frank

A chartered surveyor with 30 years property experience, Richard has specialised in the Food Retail sector, initially with Safeway and then running the development program for Asda in the South East of England for 10 years. During that period Richard provided over 1 million sq ft of retail space. In 2004, Richard left Asda to set up his own property consultancy business. Since then, Richard has provided commercial retail property advice to the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he worked with Toni Smith, and set up the Property Portfolio Acquisition Team for Sainsburys. Richard's principle project since forming his own company was the running of the Asda London Docklands project which culminated in obtaining planning permission for a new Asda Store, a new District Centre and 850 residential units. Richard remains involved in the SPV and continues to provide advice as it looks to improve the original permission up to nearer 2,000 residential units.
