Barry Fitzgerald is Co-Head of Front-office Engineering at Man Group. He is jointly responsible for all alpha generating technology delivered to Man Group's investment engines; overseeing Man AHL, Man GLG, Man Numeric, Man GPM and Man Solutions research and trading systems, Man Group's central trading technology and quant platform teams; and working closely with the research and operations teams within Man Group.
Barry joined Man Group in 2008, initially working on the firm's ecommerce operations. Since then, he has worked in a number of areas at Man Group, including trading cost analysis, risk, portfolio construction, ESG and technology tools for discretionary portfolio managers.
Barry holds a BA Mod in Computational Physics from Trinity College Dublin and a Higher Diploma in Mathematical Modelling from University College Cork.

Nicholas Barberis is the Stephen and Camille Schramm Professor of Finance at the Yale School of Management, where he works on behavioral finance, and specifically on building psychologically-realistic models of market fluctuations and investor behavior. He is the co-author, with Richard Thaler, of the most-cited survey of behavioral finance research. He is the founder and lead instructor of the Yale Summer School in Behavioral Finance. In 2015, he took over from Robert Shiller and Richard Thaler as the organiser of the leading academic conference in behavioral finance. Professor Barberis holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Cambridge University and a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard. He joined the Man Group Academic Advisory Board in 2013.

Professor Campbell R. Harvey, an expert financial economist, has been an investment strategy advisor to Man Group since 2005 and has contributed to a variety of research produced by the firm. Most recently, Professor Harvey co-authored ‘The Impact of Volatility Targeting', which won ‘Outstanding Article of 2018' from the prestigious Journal of Portfolio Management. His prior research on differentiating luck from skill won ‘Best Article' in both the 2016 and 2015 Bernstein Fabozzi/Jacobs Levy Awards, and he has published more than 125 scholarly articles on topics spanning investment finance, emerging markets, corporate finance, behavioural finance, financial econometrics and computer science.

Edward (‘Ed') Cole is Managing Director of discretionary investments, and co-portfolio manager of equity solutions at Man GLG. He leads client interactions for Man GLG, and oversees the multi-manager equity hedge fund platform. He is also a member of the Man GLG Management Committee.
Ed previously focused on emerging markets, as an equity strategist at JPMorgan, and latterly as a portfolio manager overseeing long only, long-short and multi-asset strategies.
Ed has a bachelor's degree from the University of Bristol, and a master's in Development Economics from the London School of Economics.

Elizabeth joined Man Group in February 2014 as Senior Assistant Company Secretary. She was appointed Deputy Company Secretary in March 2017 and became Company Secretary in August 2019.
Before joining Man Group, Elizabeth held company secretarial roles at PwC Legal and Capita, where she was responsible for delivering support and corporate governance advice to a portfolio of clients including FTSE and AIM listed companies, and at Mobeus Equity Partners where she was Company Secretary of a number of Venture Capital Trusts.

Emidio Sciulli is Director of Fast Trading Strategies and a member of Man AHL's management and investment committees.
Emidio oversees research, development and portfolio management of AHL's fast alpha strategies, liquidity making and taking strategies across all asset classes and is responsible for wider trade optimization across all AHL trading flow. He created the Fast Trading unit at Man AHL in 2013 and has been developing it since.
Previously, he held several other positions, including serving as Head of FX and Deputy Head of Commodities, where he led the development of macro, fundamental and technical signals across Currencies and Commodities. He joined Man AHL in 2008 as researcher in the quant macro area.
Emidio holds a BSc in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and an MSc in Financial Economics from Oxford University.
Eric Burl is Head of Discretionary at Man Group, responsible for Man GLG and Man Global Private Markets (Man GPM). He is also a member of the Man Group Executive Committee.
Eric was previously Head of GPM, Co-Head of Global Sales and Marketing, Head of Americas. Based in New York, Eric was responsible for building Man Group's US presence, overseeing business development, new product launches and the expansion of Man GPM. Prior to this, he held the role of Head of Managed Accounts at Man Group's multi-manager business which merged with Man FRM in 2012. Before joining Man Group in 2004, Eric worked at UBS in London.

Graham Robertson is a partner and Head of Client Portfolio Management at Man AHL and is a member of the investment and management committees. He has overall responsibility for investor engagement, new product development, and client communication across Man AHL's range of quantitative strategies.
Prior to joining Man AHL in 2011, Graham developed capital structure arbitrage strategies at KBC Alternative Investment Management and equity derivative relative value models for Vicis Capital. He started his career at Credit Suisse in fixed income before moving to Commerzbank, where he established the relative value team and subsequently became Head of Credit Strategy.
Graham holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford in Seismology and a BSc in Geophysics from the University of Edinburgh.

Ian Swallow is Director of Business and Operations at Man AHL and is a member of the management committee. He is responsible for Man AHL's non-investment functions, including the day-to-day management of the Man AHL business and strategy as well as interaction with Man Group's central control functions.
Prior to joining Man AHL in October 2022, Ian was Chief Operating Officer of Man Global Private Markets, and Head of Global Sales Product Management. Since joining Man Group in 2006, Ian has also worked across other functions including Structured Finance, Introducing Brokerage and Operations in both London and Pfäffikon.

Laurie's background spans asset management and investment banking, with extensive experience in both capital markets and M&A. Prior to her current role at PJT Partners, Laurie co-headed Morgan Stanley's Global Industrials Group. Before that, she spent the majority of her career as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Artisan Partners and TIAA-CREF. She was a non-executive director of EnQuest PLC from 2018 - 2021, where she chaired the Remuneration Committee.

Michael Kasper is Head of Global Private Markets at Man GPM, Head of Strategy for Man Group and a member of the Man Group Executive Committee.
He was previously Head of Strategy and Corporate Finance where he was responsible for the company's strategy, investor relations and sourcing and executing acquisitions. Michael has also held the roles of Head of Corporate Development, Head of Investor Relations, Group Treasurer and COO of Global Sales & Marketing at Man Group.
Before joining Man Group in 2016, Michael was a Managing Director at Freeman & Co., an M&A boutique, where he acted as an advisor to financial services companies.
Michael has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a MSc in Operations Research from Columbia University.
Neil Shephard is the Frank B. Baird Jr., Professor of Science at Harvard University, holding his professorship in the Economics Department and the Statistics Department. He has been Chair (Head of Department) of the Statistics Department at Harvard since 2014. Before joining Harvard University in 2013, Neil was a professor at Nuffield College, Oxford University, for 23 years. He was also the founding director of the Oxford-Man Institute from 2007-2011. Neil is an elected fellow of the Econometrics Society and the British Academy, and has been awarded the Guy Medal in Silver by the Royal Statistical Society and an Honorary Doctorate by Aarhus University. He has served as an associate editor of Econometrica since 2002.

Romy Shum is Head of Business Management - GPM UK/EEA, dedicated to Man Global Private Markets (‘Man GPM') activity in the UK and Europe. She is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of community housing, credit risk sharing and European real estate debt, and drives activity across finance, technology and business operational risk for Man GPM globally.
Romy joined Man Group in 2016, and before her current role was Senior Business Manager for Man GPM. She has also worked in Global Sales Management, focused on business planning and sales strategy implementation, and Corporate Development at Man Group.
Romy holds a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Durham University and is a CFA charterholder.
