Lynn has been a physical therapist for many years. She realized in high school that she wanted to work in a profession where she could help people. Upon researching various medical fields, Lynn became interested in physical therapy and was intrigued by the prospect of helping people regain the movement often taken for granted. Lynn received her degree from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME in 1991 and worked in acute care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing home settings in New York and California prior to relocating to New Hampshire in 1995. Lynn worked at Concord Hospital for 24 years treating patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric with orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary conditions as well as those with general medical and surgical diagnoses in the acute care setting. Lynn grew up with dogs and has had a variety of pets as an adult so the field of canine rehabilitation has always been an interest. As her dog aged, she wished there was more she could do to comfort her and began thinking more about pursuing canine rehab as a career. In the fall of 2019, Lynn met Dr. Wilson, who shared her experiences as well as let Lynn observe some sessions. This really sparked her interest in becoming certified so she began the certification process through coursework with the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Lynn starting working at Acupetvet in January 2020 as Veterinary Assistant and Service Coordinator. She received her Canine Rehabilitation Certification in July 2021 and transitioned into her therapist role. "I love helping pets regain their best function so they can enjoy playing and interacting with their humans again. It's important to me to make connections with the pets, but also with the pet owners as well. My favorite part is when an initially fearful dog comes in after a few sessions and is wagging their tail and greeting me with happy dances. It's like they are saying "thank you, I feel better, and I trust you." It's the best job ever!"
