ARO ALTERNATIVES was created to provide Chicago's residential development community with responsible and affordable alternatives to their mandated obligations under the City of Chicago's recently enacted Affordable Requirements Ordinance - otherwise known as ARO. ARO ALTERNATIVES is prepared to re-purpose a developer's in-lieu funding obligation to instead create off-site ARO compliant housing which not only meets City requirements but also returns a large portion of that investment to the developer. ARO ALTERNATIVES works with responsible, experienced and committed partners: builders, buyers, sellers, and or operators. Together, we create affordable, ARO compliant, housing which the developers can live with and which Chicago's lower income families can live in.
