LAUREN GIWA

My educational background is in psychology and clinical social work. I have been trained and currently use various approaches to assist you in achieving your goals such as: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child-Parent Psychotherapy. With many years in the Social Work field, I remain passionate about getting to know and understand the diverse individuals with whom I work with and advocate for. My background includes supervisory and leadership experience in the non-profit sector as well as providing individual and group therapy, crisis interventions, and providing assessments for children and adults in an out-patient community mental health clinic. I utilize a person centered approach and I am absolutely committed to serving my clients and their families in my private practice.
