In her national role, Anne provides national coordination of Nexus' business development and marketing initiatives, overseeing a team of regional business development and marketing executives. Business development within Nexus serves as a key point of liaison between our hospitals and the doctors who work there. Anne's optimistic outlook and commitment to innovative thinking, particularly regarding the digitisation of contemporary health services, reflect Nexus's forward-thinking ethos. Anthony Chambers

Anthony Chambers is the Group Chief Medical Officer of Nexus Hospitals, and is responsible for overall clinical governance for the Nexus group. Anthony is a senior surgical oncologist specialising in surgery for breast cancer, melanoma, sarcoma and soft tissue tumours, and endocrine surgery, and works in both the public and private healthcare sectors. Anthony also holds the position of Head of Department of General Surgery for St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney where he is a member of the Senior Medical Advisory Committee. He also has a private practice and with exposure to both the public and private hospital sectors, Anthony has a first-hand understanding of the pressures faced by surgeons in building and maintaining their private practice. As a Senior Lecturer at University of NSW, Anthony is also heavily involved in the education and training of undergraduate students. Anthony is dedicated to the post-graduate education of trainees in General Surgery through the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and has previously served as a Network Director for this training program. Anthony has been an active member of the Australian Army Reserve since 1995 as a Medical Officer in the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps, and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He has had the privilege of serving overseas on a number of occasions. His most recent appointment has been as the Commanding Officer of the 3rd Health Support Battalion, the largest health unit in the Australian Defence Force comprising over 500 health specialist reservists, spread across five Australian states. Anthony recognises the importance of a healthy and thriving private health sector which provides high-quality, accessible and affordable healthcare, and takes pressure off a strained public healthcare sector. In Nexus he sees an aligned vision to innovate and challenge the status quo, adopting more patient-focused approaches, making better use of technology, and progressing care models that ultimately improve patient outcomes. Anthony is a keen runner, an avid reader and enjoys classical music. He follows test cricket and is a Sydney Swans fan.

In his role as Operations Director for Western Australia Brendon thrives on the opportunity to implement the lessons of his dynamic career. He is committed to achieving excellence in patient care, supporting innovative approaches across all our WA sites, and working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders. Paramount to Brendon's approach is fostering a culture of respect and support across all our hospital sites. When he's not at work, Brendon can be found umpiring community Australian Rules Football, walking his two Siberian huskies, and spending time with friends and family.

Chloe was appointed as a non-executive director of Nexus Hospitals in January 2024. She was formerly a Managing Director & Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group, where she ran the Health Care Practice in Australia and New Zealand from 2016 - 2023. Chloe brings extensive experience working with clients across the health system, including hospitals and health care providers, private health insurers, public health services, state and Commonwealth departments of health, digital health and other health service providers. Chloe is recognised as a highly strategic and innovative thinker, sought out by senior leaders to solve complex and ambiguous problems and drive transformative change. She has deep expertise in health strategy and policy, operational and organisational challenges, and the application of data to improve performance and health outcomes. Chloe also has over a decade's experience in Board roles, including as President of the Association of Rhodes Scholars in Australia, and on the Boards of the Australian Cardiovascular Alliance, the peak body for cardiovascular research, and Swimming Australia during the sport's turnaround after the London 2012 Olympics. Chloe is excited by Nexus' transformative potential given its focus on delivering high-quality patient outcomes and financially sustainable care via its short-stay and day-hospital model.

Chris joined the Nexus Hospitals board in 2023 as a QIC nominated representative, bringing a wealth of experience from his role in QIC's Infrastructure team where he leads asset management activities in the health sector, among other social investments. Chris brings a breadth of experience to Nexus Hospitals, contributing innovative thinking and operational expertise to help foster a healthcare environment that is contemporary and efficient. With a background in senior executive roles in large public and private health companies, complimented by a decade working at professional services firms delivering performance improvement and transformation projects for companies across Australia and the Americas, Chris has an understanding of the demanding intricacies of the healthcare sector. He facilitates strong bonds across healthcare organizations, governments, and the broader industry. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology. Chris is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and an Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Health Services Management.

In her role as Operations Director for the Southern Region, Fiona shares her wealth of operational and leadership experience to support her team through the challenges that all hospital leaders experience. Her commitment to excellence in patient care drives Fiona's passion to continue innovating to introduce new models of care that benefit patients and the health system overall. When she is not working, Fiona can be found on the golf course, playing hockey and travelling with her husband and two daughters.

Grant Snibson

Grant Snibson was the founding Medical Director of Nexus Hospitals, joining the Board in December 2013. He is an ophthalmic surgeon with a special interest in refractive, corneal and cataract surgery. Grant is a founder and Principal Associate at Eye Surgery Associates, a large specialist group practice in Victoria. He has served on boards focused on the development and management of large vertically integrated medical centres, as well as a number of other health-related organisations. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Michael Stanford - Chairman

Michael was appointed Chairman of Nexus Hospitals in June 2023. Michael began his career as a medical doctor in Sydney and brings 38 years of Executive experience in both the public and private healthcare sectors, twenty-three of which were in Group CEO roles. He also has twenty-eight years of Non-executive Director experience developed world-wide across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, biotech /pharma, property, aged care, higher education, and the arts. Some of Michael's previous board experience has included Non-Executive Director roles with ASX listed companies Healthscope, Virtus Health (IVF), and Australian Clinical Labs, and NZX listed Vital Healthcare Property trust, of which he is a current Director. Michael also served for 16 years as Group CEO of St John of God Healthcare and was Chair of Save the Children Australia Investment Committee. Michael currently serves on the Boards of several well-respected companies including as Board Member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Board Member of Healius (ASX HLS), and Independent Non-Executive Director of NorthWest Healthcare Property Management. Michael has strong business, leadership and financial acumen, honed through executive and advisory roles where he has actively led major business transformations. Michael has extensive networks and understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and significant commercial experience including mergers and acquisitions, organic growth, major capital developments, operational efficiency, and margin improvement (including through use of technology). In 2018 Michael was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the health sector through executive roles, to tertiary education and the WA community. In 2010 he received the WA Citizen of the Year Award - Industry and Commerce category. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Richard Dammery commenced as a non-executive director of Nexus Hospitals in March 2020. He has extensive board and governance experience, having served on a range of boards, and as a board adviser, for over 25 years. From April 2024, he will be the Chairman of WiseTech Global Ltd (ASX:WTC) and The Australian Ballet. He also serves on the boards of Aussie Broadband Limited (ASX:ABB), Australia Post, and Salta Property Pty Ltd. He was previously the Chairman of Doctor Care Anywhere PLC (ASX:DOC) one of the UKs largest telehealth businesses and was a non-executive director of Quantium Group, a leading data analytics group. Before commencing his non-executive career, Richard held senior leadership roles in a range of major Australian and New Zealand companies, including Woolworths Group where he was the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary, responsible for group governance and, for a period, M&A and corporate affairs. He is an adjunct Professor at Monash Business School, and holds degrees in Arts and Law from Monash University, an MBA from Melbourne University, and a Ph.D from the University of Cambridge where he was a Senior Rouse Ball scholar at Trinity College. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
