Dolores Whalen

Dolores has had two careers. Her first career was as a teacher of Art and Mathematics for 32 years in the Fredericton school system. Her second career has been working (since 2003) at LuminUltra Technologies Ltd. She was the Director of Human Resources for 12 years and is currently Senior Advisor. She also taught English as a second language on the ELP program at UNB for several summers. Dolores is a graduate of St. Thomas University and recently completed a Leadership for Women Course at LMI Canada. She is a strong believer in giving back to the community and she has done a lot of volunteering. Dolores has served on many committees such as: The Fredericton SPCA, The Chalmers Hospital Foundation, and The Fredericton Golf Club. Most recently she was the President of the ladies section of the Fredericton Golf Club. She served as a Board member for two years at the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce and she is in her second year of serving on the St. Thomas Alumni Board of Directors. Dolores is a team player and she looks forward to contributing her varied skills and expertise to the Cultural Centre.

Emily Cochrane

Emily is a lawyer practicing on the North Side of Fredericton with a passion for advocating on behalf of clients from all walks of life. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) from St. Thomas University and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick. Prior to practicing law, Emily gained experience working in the not-for-profit and arts culture sectors, obtaining student employment with the New Brunswick Summer Music Festival and the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival. She also participated as a saxophonist with The Thomists and STU Jazz. Emily currently serves on the Board of Directors of the St. Thomas University Alumni Association and the New Brunswick Public Libraries Board. Emily was born and raised in Fredericton and has first-hand knowledge of the positive change in the City as its diversity has increased throughout the years. She is eager to contribute to the success of the Cultural Centre in achieving its goals of promoting inclusiveness as well as the learning and appreciation of different cultures throughout the Greater Fredericton Area.

Rosalynn Alessi

Originally from Brampton, ON, Rosalynn Alessi is a results-oriented, process-driven, and influential HR leader, who is passionate about people, community and the profession. With experience in full-cycle recruitment, policy development and implementation, change management, benefits and HRIS administration, strategic planning, process development, performance management, employee engagement, and relationship-building, she helps organizations achieve success by motivating and empowering teams to reach their full potential. An advocate of life-long learning she is a graduate of the Certificate in Applied Human Resources from the University of New Brunswick and is working to obtain her Master of Business Administration as well as her CPHR Designation. Rosalynn's community involvement includes extensive volunteer work with a variety of local and national organizations and she looks forward to using her knowledge to help contribute to the success of The Cultural Centre and the development of the increasingly diverse community of Fredericton.
