I graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1988 and began practicing law in early 1989. I found myself working in an insurance defense firm handling personal injury cases and workers compensation claims. Within the first few months of hire, I got my litigation feet wet with a jury trial on a premises liability suit. The stress and exhilaration of representing someone AND successfully defending their claims convinced me that I made the right choice for a career path. I also discovered that litigation afforded me the opportunity to become a mini-expert in various areas of life. Interactions with clients, witnesses, judges, and other attorneys has been very satisfying... I continued my litigation practice for several years and was given an opportunity to try something different. My new wife asked me to assist her with running her successful graphic design business.
