Gamut was founded by Isa Wang in 2016. As a trans person, Isa experienced first-hand the need for pronoun identifiers. The frustration of being the only person in the workplace to correct misgendering spurred the idea for pronoun pins... When the first design (our "classic") was ready, it was unclear if anyone else would be interested. To Isa's surprise, a wave of support launched Gamut into business. From the beginning, we have asked our customers for input. Which pronouns should we add? Are they readable and durable? The feedback we received shaped Gamut designs into the products we are proud to offer today... Tell people your pronouns without saying a word. Gamut pins feature thoughtfully designed typography that is sophisticated and easy to read. We design to solve problems we experience ourselves, as a trans-owned business. 10% of profits are donated to organizations that support LGBTQ+ individuals.
