We source our coffees from the Bukonzo Cooperative, has close to 5,000 farmers under organic certification, of which 85% are women... We began by sourcing outstanding coffees from relatively unknown coffee producing countries, such as Uganda. Sendero works closely with farmers and cooperatives to ensure they receive the highest possible prices (above Fair Trade guidelines) for their coffee. We offer farmers additional financial bonuses to produce the finest quality coffee beans, and to maintain the highest farming standards. None of our farmers use any chemicals or pesticides.
