Fran assists with writing articles about safety, health and injury law for clients and the community. She helps turn complex health and legal issues into useful, readable content. Caring for others is a lifelong focus for Fran. Before joining West Law Firm, she was a Montessori teacher at the Mountaineer Montessori School in Charleston, West Virginia. Fran has also served senior adults for years and managed a meals-on-wheels program, served with Habitat for Humanity, assisted Dental and Medical teams overseas, and volunteered with Hospice. She received the Clinical Excellence Award for Compassion and Respect towards Residents at Covenant CNA School and the highest social work honor at Warren Wilson College, Elizabeth Klein Award for Outstanding Community Service and Academic Excellence. A graduate of WVU, RBA, Communications, she was a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Scholarship. Paula obtained her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies in 1993. She currently attends West Virginia State University where she is pursuing a Regents Bachelors of Arts Degree. Paula's career in the law field started right out of high school and has extensive legal experience working for insurance companies, corporations, and people. She enjoys working for and helping people the most, which is one of the primary reasons she joined the West Law Firm team in November 2017. Paula is the firm's senior Paralegal as well as the Office Manager. She resides in Calhoun County and when not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and their two dogs.
