Aaron Palen

Aaron graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 2002 where he played collegiately. Aaron has held the position of Head Golf Professional at fine clubs in the region for over ten years. Aaron‘s leadership, professionalism, attention to detail, golfer development programs, and merchandising skills have elevated him to the top of his profession. In March of 2018, Aaron was awarded the 2018 Middle Atlantic PGA Section Merchandiser of the Year award for his Golf Shop's financial performance, artistic displays, and his Professional Staff's ability to provide small but powerful "wow" moments. In 2014 and 2015, Aaron was nominated for the Middle Atlantic PGA Section Youth Development Award for his extremely vibrant, contagious, and ever-growing Junior Golf Programs. Aaron and his wife Kristin have two beautiful children, Jayce and Kenzie. They love spending their family time at the beach.

Bobby Kidder

Bobby Kidder is a 24+ year veteran in the golf industry. He is a graduate of Allegheny College and played fullback for the Gators from 1994-to 1997. Bobby also played football for Youngstown State and was a member of their 1993 National Championship team. Before joining Duck Woods Country Club, Bobby worked for ClubCorp as the General Manager at Stonehenge Golf and Country Club in Richmond, Virginia. Before joining ClubCorp, he worked for Indigo Golf Partners (formally Billy Casper Golf) as the Regional General Manager for the Prince William County portfolio. His clubs earned regional awards for ACE the Guest Experience, Most Improved Facility, and Service Through Safety. Prior to that, he was the General Manager at Magnolia Green Golf Club, in Chesterfield, Virginia. During his tenure, the club received national awards for ACE the Guest Experience and was also named one of the top 10 New Golf Courses by Golf Digest. As an individual, Bobby was recognized as the General Manager of the Year and was also the recipient of The Coach's Award. Bobby has been married since 2008 and shares a son (Morgan) and a Schnauzer (Toby) with his wife Nichole. Their son and his wife, Michele, recently made them proud grandparents of a little girl, Diana Grace. A native of Follansbee, West Virginia, he is a die-hard Steeler fan and loves to play golf.

David Eure

Job Titles:
  • Grounds Maintenance Superintendent
David has over twenty years' experience in turf grass management, including as our Assistant Golf Course Superintendent from 1993 to 1999 before he went to work for Tournament Players Club Organization. David has a strong background in managing semi-private facility agronomy programs with various turf grasses from South to North Carolina, as well as tournament quality conditions. David has a degree in turfgrass management, is working on a business degree at Liberty University, and has a background in applied sciences. David enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with his wife, Heather, and their three sons: Seth, Liam, and Hayden.

Joseph Linton

  • Facilities Maintenance Manager
Joseph was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated high school at Camden County High. He then attended Nashville Auto/Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee. Joseph is a Gulf War Veteran, honorably discharged in 1993 and has lived in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, since 2000. Joseph has one son who currently lives in Florida and enjoys bringing his knowledge of facility maintenance to Duck Woods Country Club.

Kevin Cretella

Job Titles:
  • Tennis Professional
Kevin is a certified Tennis Professional that has over sixteen years of experience in Racquet Sports from coach at the IGM Bollettieri Academy to Director of Tennis at fine country clubs throughout the region. Kevin is an experienced coach and instructor for all ages and levels of players. Kevin graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Kinesiology, where he played NCAA Division 1 Tennis. Kevin spent summers on the Outer Banks as a youngster and is happy to be living on the Outer Banks with his family.
