The department 'Computer Graphical Systems' at HPI is dedicated to research and development in Digital Engineering and IT-Systems Engineering, focusing on information visualization, visual analytics, visual computing... Hasso Plattner founded the HPI as contribution to training internationally competitive young managers who help shape and advance the digital world... The HPI Future SOC Lab, a research laboratory, was established in 2010. It provides interested scientists around the world with an infrastructure of the latest hardware and software free of charge for research purposes.
