Kyle Dotson currently serves as the President and Principal Consultant of the DOTSON Group (www.dotsongroup.com), an Industrial Hygiene and Safety Management services firm founded in Texas in 2000 and now based in the Phoenix, Arizona area. As a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional, Kyle has conducted thousands of industrial hygiene and safety surveys of industrial workplaces. He has conducted indoor environmental quality assessments of many commercial buildings, and several thousand water intrusion related mold causation assessments of residential buildings. Kyle has served on the national Board of Directors of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (www.aiha.org), as Chairman of the AIHA Management Committee, as a Trustee of the American Industrial Hygiene Foundation, and is currently Chair of the AIHA Indoor Environmental Quality Special Interest Group. He is a regularly invited speaker on safety and industrial hygiene topics at national professional conferences. He has served as an expert witness in industrial accident and asbestos exposure litigation, and water intrusion related construction defect and mold exposure litigation. He previously served as Vice President, Safety Health and Environment, and Corporate Safety Officer for Calpine Corporation, (www.calpine.com), a Fortune 500 electric power company; as Vice President, Health Safety and Environment at BHP (one of the world's largest corporations now known as BHP Billiton, www.bhpbilliton.com) and as Director, Occupational Safety and Health at Phelps Dodge Corporation (now Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold, (www.phelpsdodge.com and www.fcx.com), which during his tenure was a Fortune 500 international manufactur-ing and mining company with 15,000 employees at 50 plants in 27 countries. From 1980 to 1991, he served as an occupational safety and industrial hygiene consultant for Aetna Life and Casualty [now Travelers Insurance Group, (www.travelers.com) and Hartford Insurance Group (www.thehartford.com), and as Vice President, Industrial Hygiene for the asbestos and environmental consultancy Maxim Environmental Engineers (now Maxim Technologies, www.maximusa.com)].
