Pauline Gerson

Pauline Gerson, Psy.D. works with individuals and couples between the ages of 30 and 90 who are seeking comfort and understanding during life cycle transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, alcohol addiction, co-dependency issues, marital discord, and Women's issues. Her approach is mostly psychodynamic and she uses a variety of problem solving techniques that are indicated with specific problems. Dr. Gerson received her Doctor of Psychology degree in 1983 from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, Newton, Massachusetts. She has been practicing clinical psychology for 40 years and the last 28 years has been at Acton Psychiatric Associates. She has available times during the day, Monday through Wednesday. Dr. Gerson is only seeing clients virtually. She will not be returning to the office. She accepts BCBS, Medicare, Tufts and HP. Peter Mosbach

Peter Mosbach, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with medical and neurological disorders such as chronic pain, Parkinson's disease and head injuries. He also performs psychological and neuropsychological testing. He treats adults 18 years and older. He takes nearly all insurance plans including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare (including Tufts and BC/BS Medicare Advantage Plans), MassHealth HMO Plans, Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts, Tufts Network Health, Fallon, Beacon Health Options, Neighborhood Health Plan, Boston Medical Center HealthNet, Cigna, Aetna, Magellan, United Healthcare (Optum), Commonwealth Care Alliance, Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership, Group Insurance Commission Plans (Commonwealth of Mass Employee Plans) and Worker's Compensation. Ward E. Bein

Ward E. Bein, M.D. is a Harvard Medical School-trained psychiatrist, who has been Board Certified in Adult, Adolescent and Forensic Psychiatry and who has extensive experience and expertise in helping people with their problems with Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress/Dissociative Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Schizophrenia, Autism spectrum, Obsessive-Compulsive, Substance Abuse, and Eating Disorders. He has long affiliations with several of the area hospitals, treating in-patients with acute and very severe mental/medical illnesses, as well as maintaining his part-time practice in out-patient psychiatry at Acton Psychiatric Associates for over 25 years. He provides expert evaluation and treatment with medication for people also interested in engaging in comprehensive treatment, integrating medication and various psychotherapies, provided by him and/or other clinicians. He has an eclectic approach to treatment, utilizing individualized blends of psychopharmacologic treatments and individual, family or group therapy (including leading a long-term group therapy for people with mood and anxiety disorders). He provides second opinion, diagnostic and treatment consultations to other mental health, primary care and school clinicians, and provides evaluation/reports/testimony for those in need of forensic medical/legal expert opinion. He can also provide treatment using hypnosis and has special interest in working with people in the creative arts and athletics. He has treated patients ages 6 through 95 and provides a kind, calm and non-judgmental treatment environment. Our practice does not tolerate discrimination on the basis of age, disability, race, religion, gender/gender identity or sexual preference. Dr. Bein is not an in-network provider for any insurance plan. He charges, on a fee-for-service basis, $350.00 for a 90 min. comprehensive initial evaluation; $250.00 for a 50 min. integrated medication/psychotherapy session; $200.00 for a 30 min. medication management session; and $350/hr for forensic evaluations/reports. Group therapy sessions (90 min) are $65.00. He will assist you in obtaining out-of-network insurance reimbursement and will negotiate reduced fees on a sliding scale basis for those who require such because of financial problems. His out-patient hours are generally restricted to Tuesdays, afternoon to 9pm.
