Dragan Stojanovski was a senior associate at EWI, working on institute's communication design, brand identity and digital communications.
Dragan has more than ten years of experience in web design and graphic design, design strategy, user-centered experience design, prototyping and UX research, and in managing content for corporate websites and other digital channels - in strategy, editorial and copywriting. He's been active in the EU level government relations, media communications, issue management, campaigning, advocacy, strategic communications and corporate social responsibility since 2007.
In 2008 he founded Y Vote Campaign, the biggest youth effort for voters mobilization for the European Parliament elections. The recurring, award-winning campaign reached millions of young people across Europe and championed the use of viral and social marketing in new media political campaigning.
He joined EWI in 2010 and received the first President's Award for Excellence in 2011. He holds an MSc in Software Engineering and an MBA in Strategic Management and Marketing.
Writing for New Europe, Public Policy and Communications Associate Dragan Stojanovski says the electoral victory of Aleksandar Vucic, leader of the Serbian Progressive Party, will inevitably change Serbia's political landscape. But Stojanovski warns, "whether this will be a change for the better remains to be seen."

Kawa Hassan to Co-lead IPEV's Working Group on the Protection of Minorities in the Middle East
Kawa Hassan joined the EWI team as director of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Program at the Brussels Center in July.
Hassan's vast experience extends to countries such as Lebanon, the Netherlands, Iraq and Sri Lanka. Before joining EWI, he coordinated the Knowledge Program Civil Society in West Asia at Hivos-a Netherlands-based international organization working toward creating sustainable and inclusive societies-and led the Public Relations Department in the Netherlands for Gorran, the second biggest political party in Iraqi Kurdistan.
"As a twice displaced Dutch citizen of Iraqi Kurdish descent, I have seen for myself the terrible impacts of successive violent conflicts on both the Iraqi society and the wider region," Hassan said. "This personal experience fueled my drive and dedication to conflict resolution and stability in MENA. EWI's track record and mission matches my personal and professional desire to make MENA a safer place for its people and the world, by building trust and relations that are indispensable for peace, prosperity and security."
