The firm has a history of "lifetime" employees and clients. Today, there are a total of thirteen employees at the firm, five of which are licensed Certified Public Accountants.
E.S. Evans and Company has enjoyed substantial growth since its organization and maintains a position of integrity and prestige within the community. We are one of the largest accounting and audit firms in the Greater Lima region.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
Andy frequently dreams of summer on the beach and fishing trips at the lake to push him through busy season.
Angie M. Quintero Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. Meet Angie, a loyal, hardworking, and compassionate team member at E.S. Evans and Company. When Angie is not in the office, you can find her spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors. She is happily married to her husband Joe, who is a police officer at the Village of Leipsic. They have three children, a daughter-in-law, and two additional children, their pups. Angie admires her grandparents because of their hard work, love, and determination. Her favorite travel spots are the Upper Peninsula in Michigan because of the beautiful waterfalls, and Clearwater Beach, FL. She makes it through tax season by drinking coffee and working out. Her advice to others is to pick a career where you will find a job that you will enjoy. Ann started with Klay and Associates in 1982 and became a member of the E.S. Evans and Company team during the merger in 2008. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching TV when she is not in the office. Ann's most memorable vacation was the trip to Alaska she took with her husband.
When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.
Meet Ashley, a proud Buckeye and Steeler fan, water lover, and dog mom. She transitioned from corporate to public accounting and joined the E.S. Evans team in 2015. Ashley was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC, but appreciates the small-town life the Lima area provides. Her family is spread all over the country, and she loves to fly and visit. On quieter weekends, you can find her outside, usually at Lake Erie, or spending time with her husband, son, and black lab/shepherd mix.
To get through tax season, Ashley teaches group fitness, keeps to-do lists, and gets outdoors as much as possible. Her role model is her grandmother, who is the epitome of patience, kindness, and grace.
The enemy of 'the best' is not 'the worst.' The enemy of the 'the best' is 'just fine.'
Brittany began her career at E.S. Evans in 2017 after spending five years working in the accounting department for a manufacturing company. She graduated from the University of Northwestern Ohio and then received her MBA from the University of Findlay before passing the CPA exam.
When she is not at the office, you can find her enjoying life on the farm where Brittany, her husband, and their two children raise crops and cattle. Brittany uses early morning workouts to get her through the busy tax season.
Clarence A. Hannan, Jr. was admitted to the partnership in 1969 after years of experience at E.S. Evans and Company. In the same year, the firm moved to its current location at 205 W. Elm Street, in downtown Lima. Robert E. Wendel, an E.S. Evans team member since 1965, was admitted as a partner in July of 1977. Two years later in 1979, Mr. Hannan passed away.
David Kienitz It's what you learn after you know it all that counts. Meet Dave, a former avid golfer, turned avid boater, turned former avid golfer. Dave was previously a partner at Lentol, Violet, Kienitz & Company, until his transition to the E.S. Evans team in 2021. Dave enjoys biking, swimming, and spending time with his wife, Barbara, and their eight grandchildren. To get through tax season, Dave enjoys the spring weather and blooms. Meet Deb, a recent semi-retiree and vital part of our Support team during our busiest season of the year. Deb loves to crochet and always has her handmade goodies ready for the Christmas season! Deb and her husband, Michael, own a boat and love to spend their time during the summer on the water at Lake Cumberland with family and friends. Deb is an avid Ohio State football fan, and began ushering in the 2021 football season at the OSU home games. Along with watching her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and OSU Buckeyes, she enjoys watching her grandson play football and her granddaughter cheerlead for the Shawnee Indians.
Deb's family keeps her busy! When she's not in the office or at the field, you will likely find her playing with her grandchildren or assisting with day care needs.
Jennifer J. Birkemeier If you believe in yourself, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Meet Jennifer, our firm's first female partner. She's married to her high school sweetheart, Craig, and has two sons, Aaron and Austin. In 1993, she graduated from the University of Findlay and joined E.S. Evans and Company. She lives in the country, outside of Wapakoneta, her hometown. In her spare time, you can find Jennifer and Craig boating or fishing at their lake home in Marblehead or riding their motorcycle. When she can get away, her favorite travel destination is St. Pete Beach, Florida. Jennifer gets through the busy season by planning trips to enjoy afterwards and by remembering that summer soon follows. Jennifer L. Reynolds Always treat others as you'd like to be treated. Meet Jennifer, the first face you'll see when you visit our office. Jennifer and her husband, Dale, reside in Lima with their cat, Elliott. She has two children and four grandchildren. Her son is a member of the U.S. Navy, and is currently stationed in SC where he hopes to retire one day. Jennifer enjoys reading, cross stitch, and needle point, but spends most of her free time trying to keep Elliott out of trouble. Education: Associates in Accounting | Lima Technical College (1995)
Jenny N. Bryan Always be the reason someone smiles today. Jenny joined the E.S. Evans and Company team in 2013. Over the years, Jenny's career path has made her a "jack of all trades." When she is not in the front in the support area you will find her assisting in the IT department. When she is not at the office, you can find her spending time with her husband, Dustin in Columbus Grove. She has two active teenage boys, John and Dillon, and two dogs, Charlie a Cavachon and Jerry Lee a German Shepard. She loves to travel and frequently visits Colorado to see family and friends. Jenny can be described in three ways: thorough, detail-oriented, and always smiling. Jenny's spare time is spent managing her two active boys' schedules and treasuring any down time with her family. Meet Linda! She joined our Support team in 2022 with 30 years of experience. Linda is a resident of Kalida and has been married to her husband, Dan, for nearly 30 years. Linda and Dan enjoy spending time with their two daughters and son-in-laws, and look forward to being promoted to grandparents this month!
In her spare time, you can find Linda listening to music, joining a yoga class, watching sunrises on morning walks, or camping. She looks forward to visiting Traverse City this year and taking a step back to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. She believes in working with others as part of a team, and is excited to get to know our clients!

Meet Andy, an E.S. Evans and Company team member since he graduated from Asbury College with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics. In addition to being a shareholder, Andy serves as our Information Technology Supervisor. When Andy is not in the office you can find him spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, and fishing. He especially enjoys trips to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. His wife, Stacy, is a teacher at Wapakoneta Elementary and they have two children. Their daughter, Haleigh, is a cheerleader and dancer and their son, Ian, is involved in karate. Their family has a dog, Molly, a guinea pig, Peanut, and a frog named Frog.

Meet Luke, an E.S. Evans and Company team member since January 2022. He graduated from the University of Northwestern Ohio with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Luke and his wife are both proud, life-long residents of Kalida. When he's not in the office, you can find Luke hanging out with friends, finding new places to eat, and most importantly, watching THE Ohio State Buckeyes. One of Luke's goals is to go to an Ohio State football game every year for the rest of his life.
Megan N. Ward What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Megan joined the E.S. Evans and Company team in 2023. Megan resides in St. Marys with her husband, Scott, and their family. In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and four very active children - Nicoli, Jaden, Cecilia, and Gabriel. If you see her out of the office, it is usually watching or helping out at a Friday night St. Marys football game with the All Brass Band, or at a Cross Country, Bowling, or Track and Field event. When she gets free time, Megan and her family like to go camping, hiking, or doing other activities outdoors. Steven D. Hooker Live life to the fullest, and focus on the positive. Meet Steve, an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. Before beginning his path as a CPA, Steve wanted to become a professional baseball player. Instead, he graduated from Bluffton University and started with E.S. Evans and Company in 1987. He was admitted as a partner in 2008. When he is not at the office, you can find him on the golf course, watching sports or hanging out with family and friends. He and his wife have two boys and live in Lima with their dog, Zeke. Spending time with his family and friends helps him push through the busy season each year. Meet Trevor, who first joined the E.S. Evans and Company team as an intern in 2020. Trevor graduated from Bluffton University with Bachelor's degrees in both accounting and business administration. Trevor, a Lima native, resides in Wapakoneta with his fiancé, Jayden. When not in the office, you can find him watching sports, fishing, or playing with his poogle, Chase. Trevor roots for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and Philadelphia Eagles.
