FAURSCHOU AG CENTER

Faurschou Ag Center was started by Darren Faurschou in the fall of 2014. He grew up farming in the Portage la Prairie area and went to the University of Manitoba where he graduated with a Diploma in Agriculture. He went back to the family farm until 2010 when he decided to go work for Salford Group, a tillage company out of Ontario. He was a territory manager for Salford until he saw an opportunity to start a dealership in his hometown of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba... The first year of starting Faurschou Ag Center, he sold from his truck and developed relationships with clients. The business grew, and he was able to get a small storefront in town, where he could expand his parts business. He also rented a shop off his father Doug Faurschou, where he could do service. Darren was able to hire a full-time parts person, George smith, and a full-time office manager Louise Delorme. The business outgrew the small 2,500 sq ft storefront after a couple of years and moved into a 20,000 sq ft..
