Founded on October 2, 1978 by Barbara and Leon Wolfley, Island Pacific Distributors (IPD) began our humble beginnings at our King Street location, opening our doors to customers as a Wholesale Hardware and Locksmith Supply Company. IPD concentrated on supplying high security keys and locks for perimeter doors on many of the high-rise condominiums being built during the high-rise boom in Waikiki and along the Ala Wai Corridor. Along with condominiums, we sold to many of the local retail establishments of the time including McDonalds, Liberty House, Gibson's, Handyman Hardware, Holiday Mart Hardware, Ben Franklin Stores, & J.C.
