LMR Planner is wholly owned by RLA communications Engineering LLC located at www.rlacommunications.com. LMR Planner is software design and planning tool for land mobile radio LMR and microwave, point to point systems used by Publi Safety and Mission Critical personnel... In 1990 an effort was undertaken to develop a fast, accurate and user-friendly radio propagation and network planning tool capable of utilizing terrain and land cover databases for projects in different countries. The application was to be designed such that the majority of its functionality be driven through graphical user interface or GUI. That application was called Romulus and it ran on a Sun Microsystems© Unix machine; a powerful computer at the time. Published and time-tested radio propagation models were implemented throughout the early 1990's that included Okumura-Hata, Bullington, Longley- Rice among others.
