The SDA technology was discovered in the 1990's in Belgium and further developed for human medicin. Smivet has translated and adapted the technology to make it fit for purpose for animal health... Smivet BV is a veterinary biotech company that was founded in 2013 in the Netherlands. The R&D activities came up to speed from end of 2014 onwards. The company decided to focus on the technology of Single Domain Antibodies (SDAs) and develop a suitable supportive SDA platform for use in multiple animal species.
