She has a background as a surgical ward nurse, specialising in plastics, trauma and orthopaedics at imperial college healthcare trust. Since joining the nursing industry, she has gained a wide range of experience working in different healthcare departments such as an ENT Day surgery unit, a GP surgery, has strived to meet the needs of the patients during the pandemic on an acute COVID ward and served on an acute medicine ward, to name a few.

Alex Obradovich

Alex Obradovich has worked extensively in the NHS and private sector. Since graduating from the University of East London, she has spent a number of years working in sports medicine, mostly with triathletes. Her post-graduate training has been mainly in running assessment, spinal manipulation, pilates, acupuncture and dry needling. Part of her work also involves working with musicians and singers. Her passion for functional rehabilitation, injury prevention and movement efficiency means her practice continuously draws on a variety of movement methods including the Alexander Technique, the Feldenkrais Method and clinical Pilates. She finds these rehabilitation methods to have remarkable clinical outcomes in retraining chronic musculoskeletal conditions, in post-operative recovery, as well as in retraining postural and highly skilled sports and performance movements. Together with traditional physiotherapy approaches (spinal mobilisation, kinesiotaping, myofascial release, etc.), Alex also uses medical acupuncture and dry needling in her practice. She has an interest in lower limb and spine rehabilitation where she aims to enable her patients to live and move in effortless, efficient and joyful ways.

Dr Abha Gulati

Dr Abha Gulati is a UK-trained consultant dermatologist here at 108 Harley Street. She has over 15 years' experience in all aspects of general dermatology in adults and children and consults on all aspects of skin disease including skin cancer, moles, acne, eczema, psoriasis and inflammatory skin diseases. She studied medicine at University College London where she was also awarded a first class honours degree in Physiology and Pharmacology. She has been practising dermatology since 2003 which has included training at a number of London's teaching hospitals including Bart's Health, Hammersmith & Ealing, Chelsea & Westminster and University College Hospitals. Since 2015, she has been a consultant dermatologist at Homerton Healthcare Foundation Trust, where she is the Clinical Lead for Dermatology and lead clinician for skin cancer services. Her dermatology training included a PhD study at QMUL exploring the early changes in skin cancer development and impact of common treatments. She has also held the prestigious post of National Institute of Health Research (NIHR)-funded Academic Clinical Lecturer at QMUL during which she explored ways of improving education and early recognition of skin cancers. She is an active member of the British Association of Dermatologists Skin Cancer Prevention Committee and British Society for Skin Care of Immunocompromised Individuals (BSSCII). She is also passionate about medical education, having been a MRCP examiner, Training Programme Director, lead for dermatology education at Homerton and RSM Trainees Committee Secretary.

Dr Mary Falzon

Dr Mary Falzon has been a consultant in histology and cytology for 31 years working for 10 years at Ealing Hospital and 21 years at University College Hospital London. She qualified from the Middlesex Hospital medical school in London in 1981and after posts in various medical and surgical specialities she started her training in cellular pathology as an assistant Lecturer at The Middlesex hospital and then as a lecturer at University College Hospital London before taking up her consultant posts. She has a special interest in Breast and Lung pathology and participates in both cervical and diagnostic cytology rotas. She collaborates in various research projects in both breast and lung and has published over 70 academic papers in prestigious journals including Nature and The new England Journal with her collaborators. She has written chapters in diagnostic cytology, molecular processes in breast pathology and on Her 2 testing. Mary is the Clinical Director for Pathology at UCLH, an Associate Clinical Professor at UCL, an Associate Responsible Officer and lead appraiser at UCLH and the Designated Individual for the HTA for the postmortem service.

Dr Mary Sommerlad

Dr Mary Sommerlad is a UK trained, consultant dermatologist at the clinic since 2021. She studied medicine at University College London (UCL) where she obtained a First Class intercalated BSc in Immunology at UCL and was awarded the British Society of Immunology Undergraduate Prize. During her time as a medical student, she obtained the Prize for Society & the Individual. Dr Matt Brown is a consultant in pain medicine and is a leading expert in the field of pain in cancer survivors. He trained at King's College London, graduating with distinction in 2004. Whilst a medical student he was awarded a number of prizes for academic achievement including the War Memorial and Wolfson Foundation Scholarships. His clinical training in pain medicine was conducted at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery providing a comprehensive grounding in the diagnosis and management of a broad variety of pain conditions. During his pain training, he successfully gained a fellowship from the Faculty of Pain Medicine and undertook extensive training in Western Medical Acupuncture. He fulfilled his long-term interest in clinical research by gaining a place on the prestigious National Institute for Health Research's Academic Clinical Fellowship Programme. This enabled him to conduct novel, award-winning research into pain at both Imperial College and King's College, London. Subsequently, he completed a Doctorate in Medicine at the Institute of Cancer Research (becoming the first anaesthetist in the Institute's history to do so and winning the Chairman's Prize at graduation). Dr Brown takes a comprehensive and holistic approach to the management of pain, utilising a range of treatments to reduce symptoms and improve functional levels. Dr Mia Jing Gao is a Consultant Dermatologist with expertise in all skin and hair conditions with years of experience working in prominent centres. Dr Philip Dilks is a Consultant Radiologist specialising in general and breast imaging and is the Director of Breast Screening for Central and North East London. He has recently joined the team at 108 Harley Street in summer 2021. Dr Dilks qualified from Cambridge University in 2003, undertook Radiology training at Barts and The London NHS Hospitals and took up his consultant post in 2012 at St Barts Hospital in 2012. Dr Dilks is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He has research and teaching interests and specialises in Breast MRI, mammography and ultrasound and biopsy techniques including vacuum excision.

Dr Romney Pope

Dr Romney Pope is a Consultant Radiologist and joined 108 Harley Street in 2012. She originally qualified from Cambridge and London Universities and undertook Radiology training at University College and the Middlesex hospitals. Subspecialty training in breast and cancer imaging was undertaken at the Marsden Hospital between 2003-2004. She was appointed as a consultant in 2004.

Dr Sarah McWilliams

Dr Sarah McWilliams is a consultant radiologist and has been a member of our team since 2014. She is a specialist at diagnosing disease through x-rays and scans. She qualified from the University of London, King's College with a Distinction in 1988, became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1991 and undertook Radiology training at Kings, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Hospitals. Subspeciality Breast imaging training was undertaken at King's and St Georges. Dr McWilliams was appointed Consultant Radiologist at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in 1999 and Lead Breast Radiologist at Guy's Hospital in 1999. She was appointed Director of Training of the NHSBSP National Breast Training Centre and Consultant Radiologist at St Georges Teaching Hospital in 2017 and helps lead High-Risk Screening in South West Thames. Research interests include MRI in Breast Cancer, Contrast-Enhanced Mammography and The Augmented Breast. Dr McWilliams specialises in breast screening, breast and general ultrasound and biopsy techniques including image-guided vacuum excision of benign lesions. Dr Simon Blease

Dr Simon Blease trained in radiology in London and Bristol on secondment from the Royal Air Force, finishing his service career as the Director of Radiology at RAF Hospital Wroughton. During his time in the RAF and in a short return to the NHS (96-99), Simon developed an expertise in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Musculoskeletal Imaging. He established the first MRI scanner in the British Military service in 1993 and was project leader for a new MRI and CT Centre in the NHS Wales. In 1999, Dr Blease joined MedTel International to become the UK's first full-time teleradiologist. He has developed and maintained strong clinical links by serving as Honorary Musculoskeletal Radiologist to The London Spine Clinic, The Bowskill Clinic, The Welsh Institute of Sport, BUPA Wellness and Back On Track. He is the ex-Honorary Secretary to the British Institute of Radiology, becoming a Fellow of the Institute and was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal in 2012. He was a founding member of the UK Association of Doctors in Sport (UKADIS). He was made a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (Ireland) in 2004 and is a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (UK). In addition to his colorectal work he also has a extensive experience in the treatment of groin hernia both simple and complicated. He also attended The Shouldice Hernia Clinic near Toronto, Canada where he learnt about the famous Shouldice hernia repair. He is a member of The Gilmore Groin and Hernia Clinic team undertaking repair of groin disruption (Gilmore's Groin). He graduated from Guy's Hospital and undertook his training in London and South East England. His specialist training was at St. Mark's Hospital in London and Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Mr Kieran Power

Mr Kieran Power is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon at 108 Harley Street. He completed his training partly in Ireland before starting a fellowship in microvascular surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London in 2012. Following this fellowship, he was awarded a prestigious scholarship from the Royal College of Surgeons which allowed him to finish his training at the world-renowned Melanoma Institute Australia. Mr Power completed a fellowship in Melanoma and Surgical Oncology before returning to take up a Consultant position at the Royal Marsden in 2014. He was awarded the John Calder Medal by the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons for his work on wound healing research in 2009. He has published and presented his research nationally and internationally. He has recently been awarded a Master of Aesthetic Surgery with distinction by the Queen Mary University of London.

Mr Mark Gittos

Mr Mark Gittos is a consultant plastic surgeon at 108 Harley Street since 2001. He qualified from Auckland Medical School in 1984, where he won the Carrick Robertson Prize in Surgery. During his plastic surgery speciality training, he was also awarded the Davis and Geck Prize for Surgical Research. In 1996, he was appointed as Specialist Consultant to the prestigious St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns in Chelmsford. Since then, Mr Gittos has been at the forefront of the advancement of post-mastectomy reconstruction using skin and nipple-sparing surgical techniques and has authored a number of scientific papers on this subject.

Mr Simon Marsh has been an integral part of 108 Harley Street since 1999. He is the Surgical Director of the Gilmore Groin and Hernia Clinic and a member of the Breast Clinic and the Skin Clinic. He also chairs the MAC and is a Non-Executive Director of 108 Medical Ltd. Having trained at Trinity College Cambridge and the Clinical School, Addenbrooke's Hospital, he was one of the few students to be awarded the William Harvey Studentship in consecutive years. He qualified in 1987, receiving the London FRCS in 1992. In 1996 he was awarded an MD on the Molecular Biology of Breast Cancer by the University of Cambridge and received the Intercollegiate Fellowship in General Surgery. In 1999 he was appointed as Consultant Surgeon in Colchester. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Essex and established the MD research programme for surgeons in training to support their continuing education. Mr Marsh is a founder member of the Essex Biomedical Sciences Institute, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, the British Association of Surgical Oncology, the Association of Breast Surgeons, the Royal Society of Medicine, the Hospital Consultants and Specialist Association and the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine. He has a keen interest in medical education (not only for doctors, but also for the general public) and has lectured both nationally and internationally on aspects of breast disease and Gilmore's Groin and produced articles and videos that are available on the internet as well as publishing papers on breast diseases, the molecular biology of breast cancer, Gilmore's Groin, hernias and minor surgery. The Gilmore Groin and Hernia Clinic has treated more than 9000 people for groin problems, including over 500 internationals, since it was founded in 1980. It pioneered the team approach to diagnosis and treatment of groin problems. The standard anatomical repair of Gilmore's Groin is now termed the Marsh Modification of the Gilmore Technique, reflecting the adaptations that have been made since 2010. His wife, Fiona Rowe, is a GP and senior partner in her practice. He has two grown up daughters, Grayling, a vet at a large country practice ("The Barn") on the Essex/Suffolk border (large and small animals) and Freyer, who is Head of Science at The Felixstowe School in Suffolk. Prof Julia Scarisbrick

Prof Julia Scarisbrick is a consultant dermatologist since 2004 and trained in London at St Thomas', University College and the Hammersmith Hospitals. She consults on all skin conditions for both children and adults aged 12+ and has published widely on dermatology and skin cancer (PubMed website). She provides a friendly efficient family dermatology service and is able to provide advice on the management of all skin conditions and offer support to help cope with living with skin problems. She can help give a diagnosis and advice a treatment plan or arrange suitable tests on the day of your appointment. If another speciality may be required she can readily arrange for a referral for the same. Prof Scarisbrick is fully accredited with the GMC and is on the British Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. She is also a member of the British Association of Dermatologists.
