Alex Charlton is the technical guru and founding partner of DS Digital Media. With over 20 years of experience, he has been the architect and manager of all infrastructure, services, and client applications for the company. His expertise and experience has been instrumental in delivering successful projects for several Fortune 500 companies, including Imperial Oil, CIBC, Aeroplan, TELUS, GSK, Chrysler, and Ford. He continues to grow the business with a team of developers, designers, data center and accounting staff. Before joining DS Digital Media (formerly DS1 Design), Alex was a Senior Business Analyst at Maritz Canada Inc., a company with Canadian revenues exceeding $160MM. In 2011, he assumed complete control of DS1 Design and has significantly grown its revenues year over year. He regularly supports the Georgian College co-operative education program and has also mentored young entrepreneurs through the Futurpreneur program. Alex holds a degree in Multimedia Design and Production from Humber College, graduating with Honours in 2000, and a background in Systems Analysis, Design, and Programming from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology at York University. He has also completed various technical professional development courses, including Microsoft Commerce and SQL Server training. Earlier in his career, Alex was awarded "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.
