Lange Originals® have been making automotive accessories for Jeep* Wrangler®, Jeep® CJ-5 CJ-7, Jeep Wrangler® YJ, Jeep Wrangler® TJ, Jeep Wrangler® JK 4 door, 2 door Jeeps®. Lange Originals® has made Jeep Wrangler® bumpers for 20 years. We love our robust steel mount bumpers, but they weighed down the front end of the Jeep, causing it to lower fuel economy. We started developing an economical aluminum bumper in 2014 that would carry a winch. The aluminum bumper we ended up with is the "27 Special"™ featured on this website! Aluminum Jeep® bumpers are hard to come by, especially ones that won't break the bank, and have all the capabilities that steel have. We take our Jeeps seriously here at Lange Originals® and the "27 Special"™ Aluminum Jeep® bumper is no exception. Why is the name "27 Special"™?
