Andy Brooks

Biography Andy Brooks is a researcher and strategist solving complex problems at the intersection of data, design, and technology. His work draws on over a decade of experience in industrial research, product management, and marketing roles at startups and public companies. He holds a masters and Ph.D. in information management and systems from the University of California, Berkeley, and is also a founding instructor in the university's graduate data science program.

Kim Hamers

Kim is one of the Marketing and Communications Advisor of HelloData. On a daily basis, she works on questions such as: how do we position ourselves as HelloData, how can we generate brand awareness, and how can we fulfill our role in society in such a way that we can work together on changing energy? Ze is responsible for the right user interfase of HelloData.

Mats Sjöberg

Mats Sjöberg is a researcher at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology HIIT and the University of Helsinki, with a doctoral degree from Aalto University. His current research focus is on creating machine learning/AI tools for managing and understanding personal data. He is the main developer of the Digital Me (DiMe) PDS platform developed in the Re:Know project, and has been active in the open source community in various decentralisation efforts.

Ms. Veera Mustonen

Ms. Veera Mustonen is Head of Smart Kalasatama, a large scale Smart City program in Helsinki. She is also Deputy CEO of Forum Virium Helsinki, city owned innovation agency for smart city development. Veera has pursued career for 18 years in the ICT industry and academy. For a decade she worked in Nokia, leading UX, smartphones portfolio planning and mobility development. She has also hold positions as eLearning Manager (Sanoma), as consumer researcher (National Consumer Research Centre) and as an elected city councilor in the City of Helsinki. Veera is trained as a cognitive scientist and is currently a Ph.D candidate at Aalto University, Helsinki. Her special areas of expertise are in fields of smart city business development, Living Labs and innovation management.

Tuukka Lehtiniemi

Biography Tuukka Lehtiniemi is a researcher at Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, HIIT. His research interests include the role of people in the personal data economy. An economist by training, he is currently pursuing a PhD degree in economic sociology.
