For many years I have used a camera to capture close-up images in nature. Over time I progressed from 35 mm film to the use of digital cameras in pursuit of flowers and water scenes. About 10 years ago I was exposed to the world of printmaking and large format photograpy. Since then I have been exclusively using a 4x5 large-format camera. I focus on the same types of scenes but only in black and white. The use of the large format camera forced me to slow down and consider more thoughtfully what I wanted to achieve...
