In 1972 when Shri Ramniklal Bhaichand Kothary perceived the condition of poor people of Saurashtra and Kutch on his visit to this area from Muscat. Ramnikbhai had lucrative business in Muscat and he had a philanthropic and sympathetic heart which got moved with the poor, sick malnourished and illiterate condition of the people of Saurasthra and Kutch. He helped people with grains, clothes, shelter, medicines, hospitalisation, books, fees etc. But what moved him the most was the absence of medical facility which made people run to far distances like Mumbai, lot of inconvenience, mental torture and some times loss of life. He did think of creating a centre in Rajkot. But before he could translate his thought, he passed away..
